Yeah I know he hasn't done well with the reds but he was good with Cleveland. A different league and a new team can be hard on a pitcher, especially one like Bauer. Still a month out, so obviously anything can happen. Rays still have games vs Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers so that won't be easy.

I've yet to see someone credible report this rumor. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I heard this elsewhere as well. I'll believe it when I see it.

That said, I do that trade 100 out of 100 times.
I'd even be willing to throw in a bottom 6 player free of charge...their pick of Sheary, Sobotka, Wilson, Girgs or Larry...and if they wanted 2, I'd have to insist on their 2020 6th rounder, unless they objected in which case I might give them our 2020 7th.

I think the truth is that JB holds his cards close to the vest. Not a lot of leaks come out of his administration. If the mantha rumors are true, I think it would be the first trade that was called from the outside well in advance
