Not Domi. After seeing Armia's clutch power play goals last season, MB only had to give up Armia, Hudon, and a 2nd. |

Nice results for CC but i wouldn’t call it his peers nor think CIAU competition is much of a challenge. Wait til competition amps up for real in the NCAA then onto the pros before getting too far ahead. Just sayin.
GL to the Habs & you the fans here 👍 |

I don't think Drouin is in the long term plans, but we've been over this, a lot! - obie
The make up of lines is more the problem. Not enough size or grit come PO time. I like Poehling looking ahead. |

Goal Caufield scored in his Wisky debut yesterday and today he netted a hatty and 2 assists, for those of you who can't count that's 6 points in his first 2 NCAA games..
Yuup you knuckleheads were right, he's a certified bust! - AdamFrench

I watch almost every event, there are still some good fights but it's a little more diluted. |

Not sure I think it's diluted. I actually think it's the impact of the expansion of the sport. Guys at the top fight less as they fight for better pay and conditions. Guys at the bottom are more talented than they were 10-15 years ago and the main improvement is defense leading to less knockouts and more of a balance between ground and stand up. I can understand people's perspective on it not being as entertaining as they remembered but the quality level is much, much higher. The last ppv alone there was a a heavyweight title fight that was a great fight and ended in a solid 4th round knockout. Diaz vs Pettis was just awesome and Costa vs Romero might be the fight of the year. Fights are hit or miss in terms of entertainment for any number of reasons, always have been, but I think what's happening now is more growing pains than anything else |

Can't argue about that, the quality of some events is pretty good but they're really not all even. |

I agree on the balance of events greatly. Part of that is injuries and how cards change and evolve as guys get hurt in camp. Part of that is star power and in combat sports it's hard to keep stars as you don't see a lot of champs defend the belt multiple times, let alone 3+ - not a lot of time to build stars for casual fans.
GSP won't fight until the money is insane and the fighters get a union and health care. (which he is right to fight for but it's why we won't see GSP vs Khabib for example)
Connor made $100M fighting Floyd in a joke exhibition, makes silly money with his poopty whiskey and is in constant legal trouble.
The Diaz boys never fight because of issues wih fighters and making crazy money on weird investments...but they're fun to watch when they do.
Jon Jones is the best to ever do it and it's not even close but he is human garbage, always has an issue preventing him from fighting and frankly doesn't have any peers to really challenge him.
A lot of the top guys are boring fighters and unlikable guys too. Colby Covington is super boring and has no knockout power, but he wins on cards in boring 25 minute slogs. Henry Cejudo is the most accomplished combat sports athlete of all time, yet he fights at a weight I haven't been able to hit since I was 13 and he is the living embodiment of Cringe.
That said...I'll watch Tony Ferguson any time. Same for Pettis, Diaz, Max Holloway, Justin Gaithje (probably spelled that wrong)...there are guys who put on great fights. There just aren't enough super fights to carry cards and Dana doesn't seem to incentivize the guys who put on entertaining fights to do it more often...then injuries...then the ESPN + deal meaning they need even more content...yeah you'll get some watered down shows |

It's still a great sport, hope Poirier doesn't get schooled by Khabib. It would be nice to see an even Khabib fight for a change.
