Hey, let's get something straight, tough guy. Seabrook's old and broken down. Buff is in his prime. Doesn't matter they're the same age - one's a Hawk and one's not. Got it, punk?

TC, thanks for the write up. Will be interested to see how the team looks this year.
I'm next door to you right now in Oakville (until I fly back out west tomorrow) and it has been nice to actually experience some summer weather.

Just my opinion in which the central pans out:
Colorado. Big question is goaltending
Nashville window is closing
Chicago/Dallas about equal
St. Louis cup hangover
Winnipeg lost to much on d
Minnesota who knows |

Yes I have been very interested to see how Soderland pans out, really like what I have seen and heard about him ..I don't think he will make the team this year ,but will in the near future .PK stud . |

You're in Oakville, BB?
I lived there for years and both kids were born there.
You from the area originally?
Sounds like |

So donning the Hawk jersey is essentially like Kryptonite to players? |

So Boqvist is #2 in the top-25 under 25 which would leave DeBrincat at #1.
1. DeBrincat (21)
2. Boqvist (19)
3. Dach (18)
4. Strome (22)
5. Mitchell (20)
6. Beaudin (19)
7. Kurashev (19)
8. Perlini (23)
9. Vlassic (18)
10. Nylander (21)
That's a pretty good group of under-25 prospects and 8 of them are 21 or younger. |

When you look at how the Win Jets transition - they are going to transition - you notice that they lost some good players and they are to be replaced by lesser talented (some inexperienced) players.
What might prove more disconcerting, however, is what you get from the performance of a.talented valuable player who brings his gane with its flaws maybe to a new level.
If you guessed this must be Big Buff, good on you to recognize ......but IF he receives more TOI you are getting exactly a "he is what he is."
Which may not be all good if you need reliabiity from a second pair dnan. I mean honestly i love having him on a team but use him as a third pair. On the pp too. Heck occasionally he has been a force as a Jet when he combines with Perreault and someone else on a forward line. I need to check whom else played with him on a forward line. But they compiled big point totals. Yet Buff always returns to his desired position.
The Jets actually look to be a team in transition and therefore a lot like Big Buff gane can be described: the good, the bad and the ugly. Big Buff is valuable when he can be utilized probably more as a third pair. Not sure that is how he starts out this season though. |
