With Farabee it is a benefit to have him slide a year but the bottom line. If he makes the team better then one of the vets and the durability factor has confidence then they will use him I think. With that being said he and guys like Frost will have to show they are moderately or maybe even severely better then a vet to win a spot out of camp. I think that is not likely to happen. Like mentioned. Most likely needing a combination of a great performance and some others to vaulter. - peesinwind
So many factors involved and it will about more than just their play on the ice. It still comes down to a judgement call. I still think in this situation, Fletcher and company will be cautious with these players. Even with their advance ability to look at players, it's still somewhat of a guessing game.

Totally agree. As Bill has mentioned several times over as the coaches have continued to point out that they prefer they spend some time in the AHL getting accustom to the pro game and pro life. Hart talked about his struggle just to adapt to the idea of living in his own (not with a family taking care of him). Life comes at these young-ins fast at this age. |

Still haven’t heard anything about that Big Russian Bear, Anton Burdasov since it was reported a month ago that he was going to sign with someone in the next couple days. Did I miss him signing somewhere?
28 year old 6’2” 234 pounds RW power forward. Sounded pretty good to me. 19 goals in the KHL is not to shabby.
Add: the Flyers were one of a couple teams in on him. Think the Rags (no cap space), Florida (no cap space), and us (still need to sign TK and Provy). |

Thought he would've been a solid, low risk, guy to bring in to camp on a 1 year contract for that 3 RW spot, but I guess we already had that guy with Stewart. Still, no competition is bad competition. - sjk540
What part of his performance to this point made you believe he would be a solid anything? |

He's solid, nothing but solid. I wonder sometimes. At least he wasn't suggesting trading Haag for him.

Amen that brotha! I'm officially done with anything relating to MJL, it's just a lost cause at the end of the day. - sjk540
You do realize mjl is bill right? I’m convinced it’s a ploy to drive up comments because no one could possibly argue with so many people. Every thing said by mjl is drive comments. |

That would be preferable, actually, to the reality.
Bill is someone who does in-depth research, has access to players and management, and uses those sources to form his opinions and state his facts in a clear, concise, respectful manner. |

don't think so, MJL and I have had our fair share of clashes but none in recent memory. On the other hand Bill never answers my questions???

I would rate it up there with the Usual Suspects realization at the end, but also, "Finkle and Einhorn, Einhorn and Finkle", work just fine. |
