Totally agree. A fresh start is a new beginning to get all things in better order. I’ve been fortunate with my health & had a great metabolism for an unhealthy lifestyle. Time to stop taking it for granted. The ganja is only a demotivator that is all in the mind & something i will need to change.

I dropped alcohol and all other vices and stick strictly to ganja. If you find that it reduces your motivation then you're probably consuming Indica. It's really a muscle relaxant and sleep aid.

Sativa strains are what most people consume if they are going to engage in hard labour or strenuous activity. It's awesome for that. Makes any activity easier and even makes manual labour almost enjoyable.

Hiking, camping, canoeing = Sativa
Landscaping, farming = Sativa
Construction, renovation = Sativa

Trick is to take a break once in a while. Take a week off consuming. I guarantee you your next hit will be as good as your first time.

Other GM's probably tried to get Miller and that took the trade price out of bargain basement.

Normally for a player like Miller a team would want a good player and/or top end prospect back. Which would leave the Canucks out of the trade. Like what happened with Barrie and the Avs.

- NuckUp

You know Miller had many teams interested. Some teams had no cap for him that needed upgrading for PO runs. Leaving the teams that could offer up the picks i’m guessing. Teams like LA or the Ducks were in a whole other world in their retool/rebuilds.

Sorry, are you saying if you’re not picking in the top 10 having first round picks is a waste?

This is why you boot lickers are so dumb. You think us whiners want the team to lose so they get high draft picks, but that isn’t true at all. We want the draft picks that are given each year, and maybe a little something extra now and again, as a prospect makes the team making a vet expendable.

- 1970vintage[/img]

respectfully Vintsy I think you and many of the #teamwhiners are confused. Caught between a rock and a hard place of acknowledging team improvement at the expense of your Benning bashing. Again like most of #teamwhiner you are missing the point...we aren't building around the old core anymore. This is a new and exciting core which has massive potential. Filling needs to compliment our top picks is the goal now. Sure picking out of the top 10 is all good and fine and there are gems there...but the focus is shifting. Just be willing to see it man...

Are you wanting top 10 picks every year & willing to ride it out waiting or impatient?
Secondly has JB done fine enough drafting to your liking that it’s reasonably well to do this? Lastly how long riding it out til we are contenders if we didn’t trade picks & keep assets instead of gaining middlin picks?

I like Vintsy...but at the same time not sure he's getting it lol

3 more years of humour, not to mention an outraged Lefty.

In three years many on here are gonna owe Benning a glorified apology...including Lefty.

Why? Burke and Nonis never got credit for Gillis's success.

He’s made his stance & won’t budge. He wants results before he changes imo.

That’s cool but true the team needed players to augment the kids & waiting isn’t serving them well imo

The cost will always be a hot debate to sway those off of their position. I constantly proclaim my optimism but it needs results to warrant my stance.

my cousin was a harsh alcoholic with rotten insides at 50 and I told him to try smoking pot and he is 71 now and healthy as a horse and he thanks me all the time for saving his life, he has no thirst for alcohol at all.

I hope Baertschi has a great year, breaks out. I don't want to see him get traded but reach his full potential.

And why should they? Burke pulled the Sedin thing off but not much else. Nonis left Gillis a worse mess than Gillis left Benning. Gillis may not have drafted well but he added those ingredients that got us to the cup final. That was all Gillis.
