10.5 MIGHT do it...on a 5 year deal. But, not 7 years. If the Leafs want 7 years....think 12 million range.

THAT is the sticking point, not just the money...but the TERM. Marner wants 10.5-11.5 over 5. Cuz, Matthews got 11.5 over 5. and the more you add years, the higher the cost goes.

It WILL get settled....likely just prior to, or just into the season. It will be signed at around 10-10.5 x 5. Mark it.
