Same. If there's a trade to be made, maybe a goalie gets hurt at camp, make it. But he's probably clears waivers. He hasn't shown enough for a team to rely on him. - Tojo.
People worry too much about players getting claimed during camp. There is so much internal evaluation that teams rarely make external moves. |

It was the politics discussion. He showed his mastery of virtue signaling while telling me to stay in my lane because I don’t know enough about politics. |

So a friend of mine sent me this and said it was in Vancouver 1984. Did this really happen? hahaha...strange they wouldnt have carpet rolled out for the puck drop, no?
The NHL doesnt even seem to know... https://www.nhl.com/canuc...real-king-of-pop/c-453768

Alice Cooper dropped the puck in AZ last year and I’m pretty sure they had carpet in front of the benches and all the way to center ice |

It’s a shame Gudbranson can’t have a permanent A on his sweater. Not even I would give it to him over Tanger and Feno though. He will probably wear it when one of those two go down though. |

Goalies get claimed when a team has injury issues during camp/preseason. - Feds91Stammer
There’s an occasion where goalies get picked up early via waiver but it’s certainly not often. I think this was the case with McElhinney? I feel like Vegas did it two years ago. But you’re right, it’s certainly not common |

I was slammed again at work but I took a brief break on Twitter and saw the Omar clip talking about Israel. Why was she emphasizing that we gave them $3MM in revenue like it’s a big number? 😂 |

I think the MJ pic is fake tbh. Doesn’t look right. |

I doubt it. Hörnqvist would get an A before him for sure. Don’t even know if he would get a letter at all. |

Is anyone else concerned about our systems? Once the other team has control of the puck our forecheck taking angles and forcing them to make high risk plays leaves room to be desired. I think style is a much bigger concern than our roster rn |

As for the roster I believe we’d only need to trade a D-man + a Forward and sign Gardiner. Very unlikely. Period.
Can’t say I’m worried about the systems before seeing what HCMS has for us. |

Is it the system or the personnel? I think JR is trying to create a roster that is "hard to play against" which I interpret to mean, in part, what you describe as the problem. I don't know that Sully has changed his system from what it used to be. Of course, getting rid of Hags was a step in the wrong direction as far as this is concerned. Now I think JR is trying to make up for that and, in general, assemble a high pressure forechecking team, which I like. It remains to be seen if we can score enough to make up for our sketchy D. I wish we'd just get rid of JJ already. |

Hornqvist is pretty much the anti leader. Guys who take stupid face wash penalties like it’s their job and have never dropped the gloves should never get a letter. Hornqvist is pretty much a joke at this point. |

Vegas was a weird situation and Subban was better thought of than Jarry. Usually the claimed goalies have experience. |

Oh yeah Gardiner! Totally forgot about him the past few weeks.
He's going to end up signing somewhere for one year/5 mill...and it will be a bargain. |

There's a rumor going around that Gardiner has a handshake deal with a team that needs to clear space, yet nobody knows who that team is. Kind of impressive he's managed to keep himself from being connected anywhere. |

If thats the case it's probably more than a one year deal then. I mean, there has to be interest in him and what he brings. Not everyone, including the GM's, are Leafs fans that blame him for each 1st round exit at the hands of the Bruins hahaha....so many Leafs fans where I live do that because of the game 7 collapse when he had 3 or 4 very bad turnovers...and I always reply "Gardiner is an excellent defenseman and I would take him on the Pens over anyone not named Letang" haha. |
