So who did we get back for Keith and Saad? - LAHawk
Both contracts run out before the season in question.

They are over rated. But bullpen has been worse than expected last month for sure. Good pitching beats Cubs. Bryant, Rizzo, Baez not stepping up in clutch. If0f bullpen can get back in groove - Strop still top notch? Bullpen over -worked? Wick looks promising. Edwards fell apart. Morrow ever pitch again? This ever changing line up is not a problem. Madden is making strategic mistakes? If so i haven't paid close enough attention to confirm. Nope. Epstein got a bit lucky winning World Series. Good team. But have problems and it shows lately. Too bad as Cards have several hitters off season and Brewers pitching has been so so espevially reliable bullpen has issues. Yelich back issue? Will he play well through back issues all the way through their season? |

Chapman put the team on his back and carried it game 6, what did he pitch 3 innings? Then came back game 7 but had little left. Still pitched two innings got out of the 9th.
No Chapman, no series title.

boy they have wasted alot of good starting pitching this year, but at time the starters have given up way to much in the early inning. both being good at the same time has not happened this year.
injuries for sure have hurt...but the last 2 games can be season killers at this stage...
they may not make it this year and if they do are they going to beat the dodgers or braves
prof maddon..a nice run but its soon to be over...

SCH had Mackenzie Entwistle at 16 in their top 25 under 25 series. As much as they talk about him, I'm surprised they didn't have him in their top 3. |

This is the only prediction of a player that will probably guaranteed to be here in 5 years. High probability of Toews and Kane to be on the team and virtual guarantee of Seabrook. The rest is, as someone said, not worth the paper its written in. Guess its summer time and we look for some useless topic to discuss.

Brisket is easy to do ok, hard to perfect. Consistent temperature control, and lots of patience are the key. If you want to slice it, as opposed to chopping it, you need to let it rest for a good long while after you pull it. At least 30 minutes. I like to go really simple on my rub for brisket too, just rub the whole thing with a thin coating of mustard, and then just lots of salt and pepper. |

Way back in the day, before Ranch was as popular as it has since become, they had Sour Cream and Onion Doritos. Tasty. |

Some fun from the Lazerus Mailbag in (on?) ‘The Athletic’.
How good would an ex-Blackhawks team look now? — Matt K.
At the risk of kickstarting another offseason blitz package here at The Athletic, here’s what I came up with. It’s probably not as good as you think — it’s top-heavy, and a little weak down the middle — because a lot of the guys that left have retired or declined (or in the cases of Brandon Saad and Andrew Shaw, returned). I’m sticking with active NHL players only, even though I have little doubt Marian Hossa could step on the ice tomorrow and immediately be one of the best two-way forwards in the game.
Forwards:
Teuvo Teravainen-Phil Danault-Artemi Panarin
Anthony Duclair-Nick Schmaltz-Vinnie Hinostroza
Andrew Ladd-Artem Anisimov-Michael Frolik
Ryan Hartman-Joakim Nordstrom-Richard Panik
Extras: Troy Brouwer, Tyler Motte
Defense:
Michal Kempny-Dustin Byfuglien
Nick Leddy-Niklas Hjalmarsson
Trevor van Riemsdyk-Henri Jokiharju
Extra: Stephen Johns
Goalies:
Antti Raanta
Carter Hutton
I ran that lineup through Sean Tierney’s WAR lineup creator (which uses data from Evolving-Hockey.com) and it spat out an 81-point season. It loved the top line, the top pairing and the top goalie. The rest? Not so much. For the first time in a couple of years, I think we can safely say the current Blackhawks are better than the former Blackhawks. |

I think they are correct on Mac. Likely his playing style makes him a fan favorite as well. |

I don't remember those, but I do remember original Doritos which were just plain old corn chips. Taco was the first flavor they introduced...in case anyone cares. |

Taco were brought back a few years ago...very very good as they should be expected to be. I bought the flaming hot Doritos a few days ago as an impulse buy...hit the spot! Oh yeah, Blackhawks preseason starts in less than a month! Now I need to run up to 7-11...thx guys |
