He’s not that’s the sad part
He put up horrible numbers playing next to a Norris candidate.
Ottawa is cheap but they pay 3 million on a guy who can’t play but brings leadership. It blows my mind. |

I agree . If we still have Babcock come playoff time , it is another season lost while our window is open |

I can’t believe they brought that guy in
And he brings in the weakness links from the Leafs D.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he told Dorian to push for Marincin. |

My guess for the standings this coming season-
Tampa
Toronto
Boston
Florida
Montreal
Buffalo
Ottawa
Detroit
Maybe flip Ottawa and Detroit. - GreatGigInTheSky
seems right.
i'd probably go with mon/fla/bos 3-5 in any order.

As an isles fan who wants to see the isles leafs go 7 games I think the leafs season depends alot on how the marner situation goes
If he holds out like nylander it could cost some points early on and become a locker room drama
Especially if he comes back after holding out and doesnt perform well....
Toronto media isint kind to the players. Kassel and Dion used to get into it with them
Leafs made some good moves this off season but I still think they need more on the d core |

Eh, there are so many young stars on very good teams I don't see how Marner is such a bigger deal than anyone else. |

I see another first round loss.
This team is not built for playoff hockey, lots of skill but no grit / compete.

I predicting Boston will get off to a great start, still angry from losing in the finals but the short Summer will catch up to many of there senior core players
by January and they will finish the 2nd half of the season on a downward trend. Still make the playoffs but will have to grind it out to get there. - NewfieStud
Im guessing Boston will have an average start and turn it on two months in.
That way people will predict their downfall and then fade with their comments |

It isn't the grit that is the problem.
It is the confidence, and playing with a sense of desperation.
Their best players are still very young.

Agree. This is what they have done the last couple years.
I don't know why people are writing them off. They have some good young players, very good veterans and a lot more speed and skill than people give them credit for.
I say they finish second behind Tampa. Leafs will battle for the 3/4 spot.
