IMO marner plays a good 200ft game...similar to center....that was the point. (a lot of hockey people believe this as well)
He doesnt take face offs but can play a similar game.

Everyone talks about Marner missing camp could cost them wins.. This may be true, but I think missing Hyman and Dermot will hurt more, and cost them games.
All the things Leafs nation talk about this team not having - size/grit/determination/, etc.. Hyman has all of it.

We’ll be fine, even if Marner misses a month. We should be able to coast into the playoffs with all our awesomeness, unless our d play like school kids in our own zone.

We’ll find out soon enough.

I think a lot of guys in here are going to be very, very disappointed. I've seen this play out many many times on the hockey buzz. But, I honestly hope your right, it would be nice to see the team do something for once.
