We all know who the Devils and Rangers added and who they have left. I wouldn't put the Devils over the Rangers since our goaltender's are without any doubt better, we do have 3 solid net minders here and the Anderson and Blackwood have failed to impress. Kakko is NHL ready Hughes is not. Keep in mind before you morons get all unglued I am in no way saying Hughes doesn't have the potential to be a great NHL hockey player simple fact is Kakko has proven to be able to play at a high level against other men not boys! Lets also not forget Kravstov who is also NHL ready and is about equal to Kakko! I still wouldn't call PK Suban a plus for the Devils, I just wonder how long he will run his mouth for before the Devils players just get sick of him!!!! |

He had a good career. He just wasn't the value we all expected as a first rounder. Hopefully, Lias can have more top end production, but he seems to be Maholtra 2.0 |

If he can be arguably the best PK in the league for a decade and this time we actually keep Malhotra 2.0, it would still be a nice part of our core. |

Typical. Everyone else’s fault, right?
I didn’t ban you. I pointed out to the Mod’s that you were doing nothing but calling people names and disrupting the blog. Own it, buddy. You want to act like a jerk, take the consequences.
And it wasn’t just your comments to Jim. You spouted off to everyone on here that tried to interact with you over the course of a week, being a total d-bag, including me.
And you don’t get told who flagged your comments. You only know because I had the balls and the honour to say it flat out, knowing you were here reading.
Keep up the good work, hero. - Tonybere

If you read the posts I was the one getting attacked. I make my point and back it with facts and because my point of view isnt liked by many on here I got called names, people misspelled my profile name, etc, etc. I ignored the name calling for weeks but enough is enough.
Yes and you posting you are in hot and humid Florida doesnt disrupt the board. Like most of us care you are in Florida on vacation.
Yes you have balls, hitting a bunch of keys on a keyboard in another country.
Honor? Where Im from, there is no honor in telling on someone. |

Well you called me Burkie, Francis, Crazy, We Bronxites are thinned skinned and get insulted easily.
No arguement was lost yet. Its the summer season didnt start yet. The big argument was the Panarin signing. We will know in 7yrs who was right. As far as making the playoffs, we have a few more months. As far as JG doing a fantastic job, jury is still out. - Brukie
I did no such thing
what I have asked you and you have never answered is
would you have preferred the Islanders getting Panarin and them having a pairing of Panarin and Barzal the next 7 years
your answer to that question was that I was a 30 year old virgin living in my mother's basement
I just want to know the answer to that question. Because that is 100% the alternative if we didn't get Panarin, he'd be an Islander |

Truthfully, they could have. I have no problem with that. Panarin at 12m and Barzal at 8 to 9 mil is 25 percent of their cap space in 2 forwards. The Islanders arent any where near Cup contention. Adding Panarin would make any team better but will he put them over the top? I dont think so. Panarin is a good player but IMO not worth the 11.6 mil. Wingers command less than centers do, yet he is getting paid like and elite center, his salary is second in the league to Mcdavid. He is ahead of JT and Matthews. Those contracts were all signed last year except Mcdavids.
Panarin had a career year last year but was 18th in the league in scoring but getting paid the second highest in the league, this knocks your cap space out of whack, which it did because we lost Shattenkirk for nothing.
If this was 2 yrs ago when the Rangers were contending, he could have been a difference maker, but I dont know what to think of it now. We arent contending for Cup within 3 yrs, sorry half these prospects havent even touched the ice yet and our defense still has Staal and Smith. What is Panarin bringing us with these 3 years??? Out of lottery contention.
Speed up the rebuild or retool, oh stop crying, I survived 8 yrs without the playoffs late 90's early 80s. We signed and acquired every free agent then and they did squat. The rebuild started 18 months. Just 18 months. I could have survived another year. Shoot for a top 5 pick next year. Top 5 pick is out, Panarin will keep us out of the basement, but not make the playoffs and if by some miracle they do we will go nowhere. |

I think if they didn't get the 2nd overall pick, Kravtsov wasn't coming over and they didn't get Fox and Trouba I would probably agree. With all those things happening it accelerated the rebuild. Panarin makes the team so much better with those other additions. I think the Rangers could be a surprise this year especially if they limit Hanks starts and use Georgy more

the team that just won the Cup was in last place in January, and it was a franchise who had never won the Cup in over 50 years |
