Erne would've been a good option for us to pursue if the cost was only a 4th. The guy has a some solid underlying numbers (small sample size) and is young enough to still have room to grow. Worst case, he's a young 4th liner; best case, he could fill a role as a complimentary middle-6 winger.

Hard to say. He excelled in a 4th line role this past year but that was a sheltered 4th line (probably) so it's tough to say where he'd be best suited. I'd give him and Benson equal shot with Nuge and Neal to see if they can mesh but, if not, he could easily find a place on a sheltered 3rd line alongside Marody maybe?

They thought he was going to be a cocky kid that would be out and about. Instead he's a shut-in and play fortnite all day. If I'm a Winnipeg fan I'd prefer he were that cocky kid, going out, taking out girls (Winnipeg is a sneaky gorgeous city) and playing guilty once in a while.

I will agree that today it is good to see highly skilled players be able to showcase their talents vs the days when skill guys like Modano, Kariya and Selanne were held, slashed and cross checked to no end but the slow, plodding, and anti-offense style of hockey that you refer to as boring to watch was only if you were an Oiler fan that never made the playoffs. The Kings St. Louis series were hardly boring.
