Not being made fun, of, too many poorly timed typos at just the wrong moments. I've corrected for fuller enthusiasm and conventional grammar.

Not trading for Gusev... especially for that price...
could really come back to haunt us

Especially if they beat us out for a playoff spot

Yeah... i know o should “get over it”
He’s just a player i wanted for a few years now & it sucks bc he got traded for such a cheap price (imo) that we definitely should’ve been able to beat it

Cozens came in and had lunch at the place i work recently
Had the cast off his hand
He’s pretty sure he’ll be cleared to play in the prospects tourney
I see Botts about once every week or 2
He said Cozens is right on track as well

Just curious, how do you know he knew nothing about soccer? No prior managerial experience, sure. But someone who knows nothing about the game is probably not going to interview for, and get, a job for basically a farm team on another continent.
- Wetbandit1

Because he readily admitted he knew little to nothing about soccer.

I like Krueger partly because he succeeded in a sport he knew nothing about. He took his leadership and team building skills, along with his general smarts and built something out of nothing, by surrounding himself with the right people.
- TheSabresTaco

Sounds like skillsets that would be more useful in a GM position rather than a Coach who has a staff of what 3, 4 maybe.

I like the Krueger hire and look forward to his impact on the team, but it feels moreso like he is a GM-in-waiting to me.

Let's hope that Smith's 1st go around with the team was completely limited by Phil's insistence on running his D, and that Smith's D is far easier to learn and execute effectively.

Jack Wagon, what was the alternative?

He scores and it was what the market would bear.

- TC4145

You must be an absolute joy in life.
Bring absolutely nothing to the table, yet remain hyper-critical of posters including personal attacks.
How about critiquing the opinion in a constructive manner, and offering up an alternative opinion.

But then, you open yourself up to critique as well.
I see how you are.

I stated it the way that I did because while you could apply it to literally any leadership position, coach could be in there as well. Of course, he doesn't have a ton of people that he can hire directly, but it's moreso the parts about physically leading the men in that locker room. If he can lead a team of guys that know a ton about soccer, he can certainly lead a team of guys that know a ton about hockey.

He was able to find the right people for the right roles. Since he's done that in the past, there's no reason he can't do it again, especially in a sport he absolutely understands more.

I look forward, and expect, for this team to feel different. Even outside of the on-ice results.

I agree with your take, I do...especially about leading 23 boys / men.
I am expecting good things from him and his team in that leadership category.
I am trusting he has hired effective Stratigists, Tacticians, Teachers and Implementors

I am hopeful that a core group who has failed 2 coaches will find a way to follow this staff.
