The one factor that makes me think that Toews will produce more than you think is that his career shooting percentage is a little over 14%. His two down years were at 9-10% and last year was back to 14.9%. He's working with teammates and last year started working with specialists. Time will tell. - Chunk
Wow I thought you just reposted what I wrote , then noticed you sly dog you added a comment . Nice job lol .
I'm rooti g for toews and the team don't get me wrong. I'd like to see the old toews who drove to the net and buried goals .
That seems to have been missing from his game that he was known to do a lot.
I also think toews success will depend upon who JC lines him up with consistently . We assume Kane but you never know.

Crosby's worst full year is 84 pts. Toews best full year is 81 pts. Some of Crosby's partial years are better than Toews full years. The two aren't comparable Toews compares better to Bergeron and Backstrom. - rpeters01

Sure their are a few players who can still play at a elite level or solid enough over 31 years old.
But Boston was well ahead of the curve with retooling their team , that does help a lot of their elder core.
Crosby is in a league of his own , his worst year is still better Than Toews best year. Crosby on numerous occasions put up over 100 points toews never sniffed 85 points.
I just think toews matured at a earlier stage in his career and peeked . Now I don't see him replicating his great performance last year next year. Plus I also think having hossa as his wingman with Sharpie helped elevate his game and confidence .
That's all . - Taylorst1
Crosby's worst year was NOT better than Toews' best year. He just had a higher PPG. |

I hope the Hawks have some new pants in the equipment budget bc those Isles pants really clash with the new pads |

So the question is who plays 3rd line center dach should go back to juniors. Unless dach impressed the brass so much that he centers that 3rd line. |

Oh my god. Are you still whining about this? Shouldn't we have moved on to Campoli's turnover against Vancouver or whether or not Nik Leddy is a future HOFer by now? - Rota's Rooter
And Gus’ turnover against STL that handed them game 7 |

Just a point of information I have from the Dylan Sikura hawk career.
The team didn't see packing him up to Rockford because they liked his efforts and they felt that he was just one goal away from breaking loose and raining the net with pucks. They truly felt its was gonna happen, well, the puck luck was bad.
I know it is easy to tag bust on a guy....I never like Pirri's game never thought he make and impact but,he still keeps getting signed to attempt to make one... - wiz1901
Now, if you could merge Pirri’s goal scoring ability with Sikura’s solid 200 foot game, you’d have something.

I'm gonna go ahead and give the kid more than 480 minutes of time before deciding he can't score. I'm wacky like that. |

That’s fair, it’s early. Additionally, having a strong 200 foot game without much scoring can also be an asset to a team. Kruger carved out a pretty nice career for himself. |

Agreed. I don't suspect he'll be scoring like the Cat, but maybe he'll be a solid third line wing who can move up the lineup if needed. That would be a nice bonus, considering his draft position. Time will tell. |

Hello, Ogi. Please don't sell Sikura short by comparing him to Forsberg. You're not looking at it right. |
