And he has absolutely no business in the top9

But i do think he can be decent on the 4th line in a defensive role with Larsson & Girgs
Those guys just won’t ever score

I’d move him in a heartbeat if possible though

And i don’t think we will see Wilson or Nelson playing much at all for the Sabres
They seem like the perfect “extras” to me who can play a few minutes a night, but if an injury is gonna last a while then we can bring up a more skilled guy from Roch

I think I'm harder on him than most. I'm hopeful someone can maybe get through to him and make him a useful 3rd line PP2 guy if he can use his reach defensively. That's his ceiling imo. His floor is AHL

You gotta admit though, if all the question marks on the roster become really, really good by the start of the season, the team is in good shape.

I wouldn’t call it an energy line either
But i do think they’d be ok in our end & be able to get the puck out down the ice

Sobatka I’d like gone asap
Larsson is decent defensively even if he isn’t fast
Girgs has decent speed & we’ve finally got him in the right role for him
I never thought he was more than a “defensive 3C”
I remember Goose letting me have it pretty bad for that opinion
But i never saw him as the “future captain” that many here described as a possibility

If we could bring in a legit 2way center for the top9, then we can ditch these guys

Until then,
I don’t want Jack, Mitts or E Rod in that role
Asplund & Cozens are said to have pretty good 2way ability
But i don’t wanna throw them into that role either
