Brodie is a LH guy, correct?

I guess that fits
But i think I’d rather have a legit scoring winger

Ehlers is still the guy I’m hoping for

- jdfitz77

Agreed, and I don’t think it’s impossible

you move risto, because he is pouting, you as a gm set a bad example

ror wanted out, gone
risto wants out, and you move him, not good
nylander wanted out, gone

what happens when eichel or dahlin wants out, they are going to say you moved the others

again, as I posted earlier, when the bickering bills was at the threshold, 4 or 5 of them wanted to be traded

polian put them all in a room, and said enough, get along this is your family and you are going to get over this hump together

of course harmon was a non factor then, and the offense and defense united and they went to 4 straight super bowls

winning cures everything

they took their time grooming olofsson and asplund in rochester last season

made them work together a lot

on the regular line

on the pp

and they were partners on the pk

it's as if they knew the kids would be in the nhl in the fall and wanted to prepare them for all situations

- homiedclown

Makes sense to me

We could see a lot of these kids starting in Rochester this season though

I know ppl don’t wanna see that,
but it’s a numbers game to a degree up here unless some moves are made

I think the jets need to get connor and laine locked up first, don't they?

I think you’re a little too worried about RW

Johansson played really well at RW with Boston in the playoffs, so it seems he’s fine on that side

Sheary won a couple Cups on the right side with Kunitz at LW & Crosby at Center, didn’t he?
I’m guessing that’s why Botts has been saying he can play RW too

Vesey is listed at both wings, although i have no idea how much RW he’s played

And there’s always your boy Tage,
if he can figure out how to hit the freaking net once in a while 😂😂😂

Might not look ideal...
but it’s not terrible either

- jdfitz77

Goddamn it, Tage.

Tage broke Koivu because of his elite tallness and incredible gangliness.

Someone teach him how to do anything other than toe-drag wristers and I'll get interested. He needs to learn how to use his reach defensively

Indeed. “Winning” varies greatly from fan to fan. Though most fans should agree that back-to-back wins at some point would be a nice place to start.
To some, not being out of the playoff race by New Years would be a step forward. Or a point total in the 80s. Or maybe just not looking completely outclassed on a nightly basis.

We have a shot at breaking 90pts this year imo
Secondary scoring will help a lot
And i think Mitts will look more like the stud we heard he can be as the season moves along

Mitts is a perfect candidate for a breakout.

Full year under his belt. Top 10 pick.

It should be much better this year

as long as the best 6 d men are on the ice and the best 9 skilled guys are playing the top 9, I will be ok

if asplund is in rochester and sobotka is on the third line, i will be pissed

if wilson is on the 3rd line and olofsson is in rochester, I will be pissed

if nelson is playing and joker is in rochester, not good

Sabres were 21st in expected goals for %. That’s bad but nowhere near the previous years bad

Ristolainen was 7th in expected goals for % among Sabres D

The Sabres got worse with Risto on the ice.

And I know he had tough matchups

- sbroads24

Do u subscribe to “expected goals” as a legit measure of how good one is?
Bc u poo poo’d It when i brought up how ROR was ranked in the top25 foe Centers the season before he was traded

housley had no f@cking clue what he was doing

tage could be a 50 point player in buffalo if put in the right situation and he is motivated

this is why I don't want to move risto

we have no clue what we have in players other then skinner, eichel, dahlin and reinhart because the coach sucked so bad

22 minutes a night on an upbeat north south game

of course we have yet to see that north south game plan we were told 26 months ago

- homiedclown

Agreed
I don’t think Botts has been able to get the right players to do it... yet

That’s a HUGE reason i was so p!ssed about the ROR trade
Not only did we get a bad return,
but the guys we got didn’t got the style of play we supposedly wanted
I harped about that over & over
But then i was told that Berglund & Sobatka were fast & that Tage was an “A” prospect
Well f#ck that noise

Idk who’s fault it was,
but the return on that trade sucked & still makes no sense to me

- homiedclown

I have heard no chatter on risto or calgary, just spitballing what would work for both teams

since 3 of calgary's top 4 d men are Lefties

and 2 are UFA;s in 11 months

- homiedclown

Yeah, makes sense on their end
Brodie has been in rumors for a while now

I know Ehlers is a LW, but next season...

Skinner-Jack-Cozens?
Ehlers-Mitts-Sam

That’s a nice top6

Olofsson-Asplund-______ for line3
*probably means Larsson & Girgs are brought back again as a defensive line4 though (sorry Jcrag)
