It's pretty simple

I have said all along the gm is not shopping risto

if a team overpays he will listen but he has no plans on moving him

I have been clear on this a week before the deadline, and this summer

don't expect him to be moved

but keep saying things I never said, if it makes you feel special

- homiedclown

Yep, this will change to fit your agenda.

Next, you'll be talking about how you wanted Singletary in the draft and that yeldon didnt get a fair shake.

I always thought ROR was over rated (still do) and even I will say they aren’t in the same league as players.

Ristolainen is and always has been a below average defensemen.

- sbroads24

After watching him in the playoffs, it is tough to say he is overrated. He was the best player on the ice.

Would anyone do this deal?

Two chances at a forward and a 2nd round pick for Risto.

I might do this and take the risk. Although I understand that Puljujarvi might not help this year and seems to be a large risk at this point.

Jesse Poodmajammies and Some guy named Raphael?

Yeah, I gotta think the Sabres can do better than that.

@hank

Wasn't dahlin "the best defenseman possibly in the modern draft?" That's pretty big hype.

Since 1971 / Bobby orr

9 goals, you didnt expect more?

He was awesome, but didnt live up to my expectations or the swedish jesus ect.

Connor McDavid of defenseman ect.

- Boss34

And he put up a better rookie season than Orr did, so ya hype was reached.

To make Garth's trade proposal more even:

Ristolainen and TJ Yeldon to Philly for Couturier.

Great, dahlin reached your expectations. You set them lower than me.

9 goals? Really

Quick look has Bobby orr at 13 goals and 41 points his rookie year

No panic. No wasted energy. No indecision.

“What I’ve noticed is how effortless it is for him,” Eichel said. “How smooth he is, catching a pass and shooting the puck. He reminds me of (Nicklas) Lidstrom a little bit.”

Eichel knows that will raise eyebrows because Lidstrom is a one of the greatest of all-time.

“It’s a crazy comparison,” he said. “But (Dahlin) isn’t physical, and he gets his stick on a lot of pucks and reads the play well. To me, it’s about how he sees everything."

Dahlin, the No. 1 pick from this past draft, may the NHL’s most talked-about rookie defenseman since Denis Potvin was drafted No. 1 in 1973. Even though only one defenseman has been named rookie of the year in the past eight years, Dahlin is our preseason pick to win the Calder Trophy

Anyone watch Last Chance U?

The two seasons at indy were some of the best actual reality (documentary) television I've seen in a very long time.

If you have Netflix, check it out. You don't even have to like football

The 2 seasons at EMCC were good, but the Indy ones were awesome

Completely different era of hockey. These two can't be compared beyond Orr was a superstar D man and Dahlin showed us that he could also be a superstar D man. I said earlier...9 goals, 15 goals, 20 goals....who cares?

Setting expectations based on the number of goals an 18yr old rookie D man gets makes zero sense to me. The expectation for me was that we drafted a future bonafide #1 D man. From what he showed this year he should become that player, if not, more. I saw a future potential Norris candidate. I couldn't care less that he had 9 goals and Orr had 13. That comparison is completely irreverent in what my expectations of Dahlin were.

In the finals he absolutely was. The three series before that he wasn’t.

Seriously?

Back when goalies were scared of their own shadow and their equipment was crap Orr had 4 more goals.

C'mon.

If Dahlin played in 1966, he'd have put up 20 goals and 60 points.
