You really are an idiot and dont get the point. At this point of the rebuild, re tool or however you want to say it, Panarins best years will be wasted because we will not be competing for a Cup this year or next and quite possibly in his third year. So if he does get 120 points this year and we dont make the playoffs then what did we gain out of his 120 points??
- Brukie

Let me ask you. When was the last time a team had a 120 point player and DIDNT make the playoffs? šŸ§

McDavid had 116 this past season and missed 4 games. Not sure 4 more points wouldā€™ve gotten them into the playoffs.

What he's saying is that since NYR won't win the cup this year Panarin shouldn't have been signed because he'll be too old to be any good after this season.

Get with it! Duh

Is this Tom, reincarnate? WTF, the Rangers have totally transformed this team over the summer, and they're still just about the youngest team in the league. What is there to be so angry about? I don't get it.

IF you keep krieds :

#1 line Panarin Z bad Krieds = a real top line & PP pkg with trouba & Buhcny?

2nd line Kakko ( Names or Strome ) Buchny

3rd line Chtyl Howden (Names or Strome)

4th line Lemeuix Boo Fast

Smith as the flip wing / D

Lias has no home , use is to pkg in trade like Georgeiev

Goal has HANK + Igor S

D
trouba shey
A dA Hijak
Fox Staal as 6th man / assst coach type with less gm than more

Smith as a flip D /wing

Lindgren Rykov Keane finn kid are afew top prospects

2nd line center ? sticks out like a sore thumb we will see with 6 ewks till camp opens ,so many RFAs to sign , teams will need help or want the youth we can pkg to get a top 6 center ...

To summarize Signing Panarin killed our cap space and when this team will finally start to contend in a few years will Panarin be the same player he is now to help put the team over the top

The problem is there is no gaurentee any difference making free agents will be avaialbale in a few years that are as good as Panirin. Then you are forced trading away top assests to try and get that difference maker plus would have to pay them premium money to keep them

Also signing Panirin didnā€™t kill the cap. A number 6, 7 and 8 d man taking up around 15-16 million per year killed the cap

Love kreider, but he hasn't put it all together. Shows flashes of elite at times and other times doesn't... Also hasn't scored over 30 goals yet in a season.

You do realize Panarin scored 30 and 31 goals playing with Patrick Kane. Kreider actually tied Panarin in goal scoring last season

Not to mention a 38 year old goalie making 8.5 mil a year, now thatā€™s a cap killer. The Paranin signing was a no brainer, the organization needs to place a viable competitive product on the ice. Especially, with the disarray the Knicks are in, its still a business, and sooner or later the ā€œrebuildā€ tag would grow old on broadway, given the cost of tickets etc.

I for one are excited to see how all these potential high end talent fit in, should be an interesting, entertaining season.
