Itā€™s amazing. Like 99.99999% of the Ranger fan base is super excited about Panarin except this nut.

what is your point about Kreider though, are you saying because we signed Panarin, and Kreider scored similar goal totals to him the past few years, we SHOULD give Kreider 7 years 50 million?

I dont understand you continuing to bring up Panarin and Kreider

what is it you think they should do with Kreider?

My response was a direct play on one of the quotes from the piece Jan posted.
Relax, Francis.
(Do you need me to explain that one, too?)

Yes, AP scored a mere 30 playing with Kane...as a rookie. With 31 for a sophomore slump. He also added in about 25 more assists than Kreider has ever put up. Now, he has grown, become a leader and is in his prime.
What are you so angry about? The money? This is what contracts for the top players are going to look like now. Are we never to sign one? Is it early in the rebuild to sign him? Perhaps. But we are rebuilding around him & HIS CONTRACT now. We are shedding many decent players to be replaced by more promising ones. By every opinion of those in the know, MOST of our prospects of note stand a good chance of filling that promise.
You live in anger today, because of your fear of tomorrow.
Tomorrow looks nice, my friend.

with hyper speed rebuild in play now I M O you have to see the huge step down after
Mika at center , Strome & Names are buffers so to speak BUT letting kid centers go thru the meat grinder is not going to get there skill ,confidence or overall game to improve , may cause regression ,Look at Fla . has had a ton of talented youth but they took years to mature , and got beat up for it , had virtually no D yr before .
If Kreider isnt pkg'd with other valuable assets that arent in teamsfuture then i dont know why to get excited , i dont see 18 yr to 21 yr old 1st & 2nd yr players being primary factors with out the experience & skill around them can help them
Chtyl was pulled from center last yr cause of holes in game & level of skill to play 2 way center in NHL , Now he will overnite ? same goes for our youth, we have talent
but I D K about McDavid /Matthew franchise talent ?

we could put a pkg. of : Kreids ,Georgiev ,Lias A ,AdA
#1 pick ,D prospect ( lindgren ,keane,fin kid )

what combo of players out of that pile of talent we can trade & over pay a lil
For WHO can be found to play #2 center for NYR ?

Just like we found Brassard ,there out there .. Gorts is workin it I know it
cant wait till they shock with an out of left field deal that will dazzle us
its the last move to make to secure the seasons success
CANT GO with what we have ,Mika wont last alone ....

if we dont upgrade before camp & try to play thru this ,it will not be the P O possible season we all want & need ..L G R

- NASHTYGUY

If Strome plays just a little more consistently, he can be good number 2, but you are right.. He's still a big drop off from Zib. It will be center by committee with Strome, Nam, Howden, Boo, and ??. Not optimal, but for this year it's doable. Another legit center needs to either be brought in or develop from within organization in a season or so

what is the point you are trying to make?

that they should give Kreider 11 million a year? 7 million a year?

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE MR. BRUKIE. PLEASE EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

- jimbo83

Jaime the point, not my purpose mind you, im trying to make is as far as goal scoring goes Krieds and Panarin are equals Krieds will get 6.5 to 7 while Panarin is at 11.6. The Rangers are paying 4.5 million more for assists not goals. The money the Rangers would have saved by not signing him, we will never have been in a cap crunch and lose Shatty for nothing though some on this board think its no big deal to lose a player for nothing. Next year its more of the same with dead cap space at 7 mil or so.

I like Panarin, he is a good player, not elite, Im sorry but his stats back my argument, He has finished 9th in scoring and the rest of the time high teens. In this cap era is just as important to manage the cap space as it is the players. He has the second highest cap hit in the league behind Mcdavid. Would you put him in Mcdavids class? How about JT? Matthews? These guys have less cap hit than Panarin, are better players and signed their contracts within the last year.

Panarin had a career year in his contract year. He will be 28 in Oct. Will he get better after 30 or has he hit his ceiling? Can he produce 100 points? For how long?

Who cares if he gets 120 pts this year. The Rangers arent winning the Cup in the next 2 or 3 years. The players are still way to young and the defense is a disaster. He probably wont produce the same at the end of his contract, when we will really be contending, than he will now.

This is my opinion, I dont give a (frank) if you agree or not. I will continue to post my opinion, just as the rest of you baboons do.

So you donā€™t think a first rate RUSSIAN playmaker like Panarin will help with The development of Kravtsov at all then? Or Kakko?

Panarin is a top 5 winger in the league. That's Elite!

After Kane and Kuch, Benn, Marner and Ovi (getting. Old) Panarin is there with Tarasenko

I wish NYR could've has solidified the Center position more, but I, and most fans have confidence in Gorton to make that happen. Who knows, that center we need might already be in the organization. Gorton has never lost on a trade IMO, so I'm a believer.

You really are an idiot and dont get the point. At this point of the rebuild, re tool or however you want to say it, Panarins best years will be wasted because we will not be competing for a Cup this year or next and quite possibly in his third year. So if he does get 120 points this year and we dont make the playoffs then what did we gain out of his 120 points??
