Adam-

Solid line up.

Maybe
I'm a huge homer, but that looks decent.

Agreed. Getting Joker and Miller really changed the outlook. Neither are all stars, but are such big upgrades over what we had. If Dahlin takes a big step, I think we have a chance of being relevant again.

This year's camp is going to be exciting, and it's disappointing that Pilut won't be ready. I hope Bogo is. I want a pair of forwards and a pair of dmen burned off of this roster.

I'd pick Heiskanen or Provorov over Dahlin. He's not even in my top 10.

The '09-10 Sabres had better depth down the middle:

Roy: 69p
Connolly: 65
Hecht: 42
Goose: 22

Only 4 20 goal scorers, which might get beat this year

This team obviously has more firepower at the top

Top-4 is an unknown. Should be better, but that team had solid vets. Lydman, Tallinder, Montador, Rivet and the wild card Myers

That was a bubble team. Edit: 100 points. Didn't remember they were that good

Just saw your edit. Was about to say they won the division that year.

Looking at the roster, our top-3 scorers this year should get more than the 69, 65 and 62 points the top-3 got on that team.

The next three were 53, 48 and 42 points.

So Mojo, Mitts and one of Sheary/Olofsson/Vesey/Dahlin

That's where the questions come in.

12 players hit double digit goals, vs. 7 last year

Yes, definitely. The worse thing he could say would be "We will be looking to make a trade to become cap compliant." This would ensure that teams would look to take advantage of him. Being all laissez-faire about the situation still allows him to negotiate without seeming desperate. I feel he swings a deal that will have everyone saying "How the hell did he pull that off?".

It also sets the fans up to not be surprised if there isn't any additional moves, other than a LTIR or waiver move.

Getting beat beans from the weirdest angle would mess anyone up, let alone in overtime of a Gold Medal game.

I remember hearing Don Cherry say that Crosby actually whiffed on that shot. If he gets all of it, Miller stops it, and then who knows?

It's amazing how it's so difficult to save "whiffs". Not being sarcastic either, it's like a knuckleball in baseball.

Phil Kessel also hit the crossbar a minute or two earlier...
