I would consider it

You're in if you want. We had 8 teams last year. Could stretch it to 10-12 with the interest I had.

I was checking to see if we could start the league but Yahoo is still not updated for the next season. I will keep people posted if I remember.

All Goon team

F Chris Simon 65
F Donald Brashear 36
F McT 12 (OK he's not really a goon)

D Mcsorley 9
D Dupont 7

Cloutier 34

I'm sure you guys can do better. Cloutier is a must start for me though

- 2sticks1puck

Put Barnaby somewhere in there. Too bad Ulf played so many games.

Barnaby played way too many games. He's kind of like the Lindros of the goon team. Costs way more than you expect.

You have to use Eric Cairns and already be over budget

The Isles keep Cairns around to show up at all the big Isles ceremonies

There's too many scrub Ranger players to list, but when when I think of scrub NYI players, far and away Cairns is 1. Always have to get a Yashin or Ho-Sang dig in there.

I came up with:

Ryan Smyth (18gp) - Cliff Ronning (40gp) - Thomas Vanek (47gp)

James Wisnieski (32gp) - Reed Larson (33gp)

Roberto Luongo (24gp)

and left $6 in cap space for the trade deadline

You guys never had any good rentals in the 80s? That team is.... not good. At least Luongo will bail you out

You beat me to it while I had to take a work call:

You can't beat us if you can't finish the game:

F John Scott 6 GP 544 PIM
F Tie Domi 82 GP 3,515 PIM
F Derek Boogaard 22 GP 589 PIM
D Stu Bickel 67 GP 203 PIM
D Marty McSorley 9 GP 3,381 PIM
G Guy Herbert 13 GP (who cares because every game is a win by forfeit anyway)

I'd replace Smyth and Ronning with Straka and Muller. That's a little better

Yup.

Chara, Muckalt, and a 2001 1st rounder for Yashin. The 1st rounder was Spezza

the trades the islanders made were real head scratchers, and how Milbury kept that job as long as he did is un(frank)ingreal

On the MIN GM search — Wild were declined permission to speak to NYR AGM Chris Drury. It’s the second time a team has asked and been politely rebuffed (BUF).

I just wonder ultimately they have in mind for Drury in the future, Gorton's replacement?
