I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just watch hockey and come to your own conclusions. I’ve never had a sheep mentality so it just baffles me. To each his own though.

Right because everyone on here who looks at advanced stats agrees about everything and we never argue...

Sure lol I have no crystal ball but I have an opinion based on a personal preference.

IDK Kunitz was the better player by far. I guess without knowing anything else I’d rather have the player who had the better career be in charge of player development. Feel like they’d have more to teach. But Cullen’s personality seems like a good fit for the role.

Pensburgh had a piece that went through every team's cap situation to see who still had room after RFAs to take on a contract. Only came up with 4 matches: NJ, Anaheim, LA, and Detroit.

There's more teams than that looking to dump, so expect a bad deal when it happens.

You clearly don’t understand how terrible human memory is. It is a sheep mentality to be naive enough to think that your eye test and memory are anywhere remotely accurate of what actually happened.

Anaheim - Internal Cap

Detroit - Yzerman is no dummy

Columbus still has room, but probably wants a GOOD player

Ottawa has room but is a cap FLOOR team

NJ and LA are probably the only realistic teams but NJ won't want term since they are on the upswing

Nah. It’s sheep mentality to jump on the new trend because you think copying and pasting someone else’s work makes you sound smart. Have an original thought.

I once played for a roller hockey team was pretty bad. We went about 3-12 every season, got creamed by all but a couple of teams. Had the same eight guys for a long time.

We had a guy we called Slapshot Mike. He was a defenseman, he was slow, and when he got the puck, no matter where it was, he had one move: skate just past center red and take a slapshot on net. Every time. Nobody even bothered defending it, because it was easier to just retreat and pick up the rebound.

Slapshot Mike once tried to start a fight with me because I dared to call for a pass from him.

When Slapshot Mike quit, we replaced him with a pretty average defenseman. The next season, our record was 10-5. Two seasons later, we won back-to-back league championships. Turns out we were all tiring ourselves out forechecking and backchecking when he gave the puck away, and trying to hustle around at 3-on-4 when we had the puck. Without Mike, every single player got better immediately.

Never underestimate the ability of one awful awful player to tank the results of an entire team.
