God I hope not. No place for stubborn old school asshats like Hextall. He almost destroyed the Flyers, B. Schenn for Lehtera and Frost, haha what a joke He led many of the Flyers faithful to seek professional help, lol Hextall and Hakstol killed Flyer hockey for me with their decision making. Please stay clear even though Minnesota seems to be a bad place for all GM's for some reason. The team needs offence and an upbeat coach, not one who publicly throws his players under the bus.

Congrats, at least ownership wasn’t too stubborn to admit their mistake.

The Coyle trade was bruuuuutal for The Wild. Boston did well selling high on Donato and laughed all the way to the bank.

What? Is this sarcasm I cant tell

Donato had 16 pts in 22 games for the wild thats pretty good

Coyle had 6 pts in 21 regular season games for the Bruins

That was Schenn for Lehtera, Frost and Farabee. Like all prospect trades it takes a while to judge. But Frost and Farabee are the #1 & #2 prospects in the Flyers system.

Yeah, this trade has worked out well for both groups. We expect Schenn to walk after this year anyway.

Coyle was ho-hum here for the Wild during the regular season and performed well in the playoffs, just like he did in Boston. Id rather have Donato who has a chip on his shoulder and is out to prove himself rather than a guy who never really bothered to try and improve on a yearly basis.

The traded can be viewed many ways. I look at it Schenn for one first (Frost) and one first to take Lehtera and his salary (Farabee) There is no way the Blues do this deal without the Flyers taking Lehtera's contract. But either way the hockey world knows the Flyers got raped. Schenn their MVP first year and gets a cup in year two. Not bad. What has Frost done for you lately, but I think he has a chance. Farabee is a can't miss in my opinion, love that kid. Regardless I am over it, Schenn was my fav Flyer and Hextall traded him.

Farabee is a result of taking back Lehtera and his assisnine salary which I believe finally got bought out.

Love Farabee

I agree with this, Coyle is a solid third line player, never got better. At least with Donato he has potential to be a top scorer for the Wild. Boston was too deep to give him the opportunity.

Did they lock the thread on Tanner's most recent idiocy?

I was curious to know how Hextal sucked as a GM. Now Chiarelli, he ought to be avoided as he has a notably horrid trade record.

That pos Tanner decides, that instead of the wild blogger getting hits, that he'd jump in on the story and post his own blog.

Why doesn't that guy just stick to his own team to cover instead of cannibalizing the wild blogger's hits...??

No he didn't. He left him out on purpose because it would have hurt his narrative.

The Wild need to change their name to North Stars

I think the league can have a Dallas Stars and a Minnesota North Stars. It works... Wild sucks..

That was probably their only decent to good trade, if I were the Mild I’d rather have the younger Donato.

Now the Niño trade was downright laughable it’s absurd, Granlund trade is highly suspect as well. Could be terrible if Fiala doesn’t pan out and become what Granlund is

It's actually possible because the league, not the dallas stars owns the rights to the North Stars logo and name now.

Tanner said something along the lines of "they might as well hire a woman, it's not like they can do any worse" or something similar.

Very true, agree totally. Hoping Fiala can reach his potential and Donato too.

I don’t know if he’ll become a Granlund type player, but here’s to hoping. He’s got youth and potential.

I wish I could justify the Niño-Rask trade and brighten that one for ya...but yeah...ewww
