I guess i just don’t see the “infinitely more flexibility” part?

Let’s say they kept Cally & used up 5.5 of his 5.8mil available to them

Is that any different then now, if they went to 81.2mil with all their signings?

Maybe I’m missing something here
But it seems like ppl are just trying to make this more complicated

- jdfitz77

The point is you don't want to use LTIR unless you absolutely have to because it really (frank)s you over.

How???

How is it different to use up to .3mil left of LTIR
vs .3mil left of regular Cap?

I’m being totally sincere here

How does 1 way “really f*ck you over” vs the other?

How does 1 way give u “infinitely more flexibility” over the other???

U can keep twisting things however u like

If what you meant was that they need to leave room for injuries,
then just say that instead of trying to make what I’m saying look wrong
Especially when it’s actually correct

- jdfitz77

Right, it's the rest of us who are twisting things.....

You started this whole thing because you didn't understand TB's side of this, and thought it must be for overage to sign Point.

So, expected timeline for possible next moves by Botts?
Does Aug 15th sound about right?

Aug 6th, last of the Arbitration decisions.
Gives Botts 9 days to hammer out final details.
2-1/2 weeks before Training Camp.

Edit - actually about 3-1/2 weeks before Training Camp

Yes, that is what i think
It’s also what deadhead & a few others have said as well

But fine, continue to focus on me
If they didn’t make this move for more “overage” flexibility...
then what did they do it for?

Bc it doesn’t give them more flexibility once the season starts
Condon’s Cap Hit costs them

Makes sense
I wonder if these arbitration hearings are holding up potential deals

Teams need to know their cap room.

Some think Gardiner is also creating a logjam while teams keep reserving space to land him.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is 8000 yards away from being in the top 25 all time in yards.

Let that sink in for a minute.

- dadeadhead

He is the poor man's Brett Favre. If he didn't get dumped by us, we make the playoffs with Marrone and both seasons under Rex.

Watch a movie called "Suburban Gothic" with this man in it. I wish I had his hair but it's a pretty funny movie other than that.

Yeah, that could easily be a scenario for some teams

Wouldn’t it then be a different scenario for other teams?
