nooo never. he's had so many points in the K, etc etc etc. His NHL experience is zero, so I have my reservations. He's 27.. what took him so long? He's so great.. why didn't he play in the playoffs? difficulty adjusting to the smaller ice/speed of the game? People are acting like he's a sho-in (shoe-in? like a shoe on your foot?), and maybe he is! but there's reason for cautious optimism.

I have a lot of optimism with him. If he's on a line with Hughes, they'll have the crowd out of their seats. I don't see them with Bratt, but Bratt and Boqvist might made the Swede connection on the third line with Zacha in the middle to support them.

Reason I don't see them with Bratt is because both Hughes and Gusev are going to be better managing the puck than they will be positional players - they'll need puck support to help them get the puck, which means they need a tenacious player with them.
