Still hoping we can add at least 1 top6 forward

But as we are now,
your lineup is probably pretty close
Pommer probably not signed,
add Tage & Sobatka

If tage can outplays pommer. then he deserves the spot.

I got pommer for now

I’m no Tage fan
But i think the Sabres will give him every chance to make the team
And that includes not bringing in a Vet like Pommer
I know you’re a big fan,
but i just don’t see us signing him

Must be nice to come on here and pick fights with people constantly and then get them banned when they tell you off.

I'm not even considering him to crack the lineup to start the year, personally. He shouldn't be in the top-6, and until he straightens out his d game, he cant be in the bottom-6 either. They need to get his game right in the AHL and teach him the d zone game and maybe try to get him to kill penalties. Teach him to use his reach and make him a useful 3rd line player

Funny, until you mentioned 'reach', it sounds like you're describing Sheary.....they really need to make another move.

I was in NYC for work last week and a few of us went to a Yankees game after work one evening. Took a train (w/ 1 transfer) from Rego Park, Queens to Yankee Stadium, Bronx. It was about 45 minutes but you'll be much closer in Manhattan. It's absolutely safe to take the train to the Bronx and the neighborhood is around the stadium is great. Like others have said, you'll be around tourists and Yankee fans. Just follow them right to the front gates when you get off. You can't miss the stadium.

If you ask at the hotel, they'll tell you which train to take to get there and probably give you a map (most decent hotels do this in NYC) - or you could use google maps, which is what we did. I never knew that it could give you directions via subway before last week. Have fun!

- The_Inkwell

Thank you. Looking at the subway map, I see t he stadium is to the west of the south Bronx/ sound view projects. Grew up listening to boogie down productions and Krs one. Not even close to the area I was thinking so that’s good.

I'd trust sheary more than Tage in a top-6 role, but I don't think I buy that sheary is good at RW until I see it. They absolutely need another top-6 forward

So here’s a rumor. Brassard (a center) to Edmonton on a 1 year deal. Would that free up RNH for a trade?

I have seen Draistal at winger, but I thought he is best when at center?

I could only imagine Edmonton wants him at 2C and it seems per cap friendly they have a few more centers then a possible Brassard signing makes RNH expendable.

From Corsica, Leon has played a significant portion of last year with McDavid.
He seems to perform better with McJesus, than when he is away from him.
I too would think they want Drai on his own line, but whatever.

This is a sink or swim year for Sam. Big bucks , long term on the line.

Sabres need to see what he can do on his own line.

This "driving a line" has me skeptical.

If so, we are maybe a good 2c from contending for the playoffs

Sam Reinhart is not a centre, he has not had success there at all in the nhl. If you take him off the wing we have literally no one to play the right side except Okposo. No way they move Sam to centre imo.

Find that compelling? His S% (and production) dropped, as his time with Crosby dropped off. I think there's a much stronger case that he's a 10% shooter away from Crosby. I don't have to write an article and attract views though.

I think you read a little more into my post.

You seem like a great talent evaluator, must have a 55 inch TV like ion?

Sam is still young, we have had terrible coaching. Maybe that's part of looking like a fool at center?
Maybe he can adjust- I doubt it

Good point with the lack of depth at rw?

Wish we had out 4th leading goal scorer from last year under contract. He could help
