Complaining about people complaining about the Canucks cap situation has become 'Brendan Gaunce'. You should try it.

This place always gets like this in the summer. Debates are over the dumbest topics because nothing else hockey is going on. Hughes hasnt scored a goal or played more than 7 games but he is suddenly going to get 12 mill lol.

Performance bonuses need to be considered, whenever considering how much capspace is available.
Elias and Hughes, combined, can make 3.5 million in ELC bonuses, so there is a chance that cap could become an issue, although it could be deferred. Not sure it is a good idea to be close to the cap ceiling, when you have a player, Elias, who has already attained maximum bonuses in his 1st year of his ELC.

Apparently spending to the cap max every year but finishing at the bottom of the league is a good thing. The future also doesn't matter. In a nutshell.

Or it can be seen as Benning fanboys against not real fans.

I would hope so, but to say cap isn't an issue, is almost like saying, recapture, on Luongo's contract, won't happen.

TO are going to put 2 players on LTIR to pay Marner his 10.5 mil contract.

There are many ways around things.

So that would give Canucks 24 mil in space with 15 players signed and the biggest name to re-sign is Markstrom. Where is the issue?

Not sure why people assume full freak out mode is taking place, when all anyone is doing is raising the issue.
Btw, even Benning stated that the Luongo recapture caught them off guard, and they would have to be cognizant of that cap hit moving forward.
Hopefully, it means, no more bonehead free-agent signings, like everyone's favourite player, Loui Erickson.
