I was joking yesterday . I don't care at all about captain nominations. It is not like Canucks have a rich honor and this new one will follow the many heroes of years past.

Give the damn C to someone or don't.

After seeing how Bo danced at the reception the only puzzy he is getting is none. I swear he took dance lessons from Drunk Edler

Goldobin just said on his IG Live that he's waiting for his contract with Vancouver &he hopes Tryamkin will go back to Vancouver for him

From some random fan on Twitter.

I have seen a few things about Tryamkin in the last few days.

Give goldy one more chance, and tryamkin, sure, but be ready to send him home the first time he cries to the coach or media

Well, it isn’t a coincidence because the likelihood that all those players walk or are traded (without signing a contract extension) AND THEN are replaced by those players mentioned to fill similar roles and make similar contributions is 1 in 100,000,000,000.

It isn’t planned because a) the above, and b) Miller was not targeted because of his contract length, Canucks were the only team willing to give Ferland and Miller that term and Horvat was already under contract.

Basically, they hypothesis is total bullpoop.

What’s the freakout about this morning? Horvat should and will be captain, despite Pettersson being their obvious most talented player. Same scenario when Linden was captain but Bure was their best player.

How many points did he project for the Canucks last season?
- boonerbuck

I don't follow oddsmakers to remember. I'm guess probably 60 something because that's what everyone else had.

Most teams, not all, make their best player their captain, not saying it’s right or wrong, just most teams do.

Is the best player the most offensive or all- around, as I believe Bo is best all-around.

People can argue about anything around here

I never really gave it a second thought, best doesn’t always mean most talented, I agree.

I have Goldy on instagram and there's nothing there for his IG Live.

I did find a 2 minute video of the Devils prospect camp and there was a bunch of clips of 3 on 3 on short ice.

I'm really liking the short ice and think that Canadian should be promoting it big time if they plan on keeping up.

Sure they do but in this case Horvat over Pettersson is a no brainer, give EP and BB an A when they're ready.

Yes I agree, as I said in my previous post, “Horvat SHOULD and will be captain”.

Dimitri Filipovic

The Canucks had one job this summer and it was not to take on any significant money for 2021-22 and beyond when Pettersson and Hughes come up for new deals. Then they went out and committed $14.75M for those future seasons to J.T. Miller, Tyler Myers and Micheal Ferland.
Dimitri Filipovic

It’s not even Jim Benning’s fault. He’s obviously doing everything he can to try and make the playoffs and save his job. It’s just bad ownership to be in that type of short sighted position and allow it to happen in the first place.
Dimitri Filipovic

The Canucks are definitely going to be better next season. They’re also likely going to be up against the cap ceiling, down a future first round pick, and competing for 5th place in the worst division in hockey. The lack of business sense and asset management is something else.

46 million dollar with no cap movement definitely will make it difficult to sign Hughes and Pettersson.

I just love that he has a very public platform to voice his displeasure or opinions and he has no issues with doing it. I guess he has no future plans to work for the Aquilini group

I laugh because that sort of thing pisses off Francesco so much.

I don't know who he is. Sounds like a guy just looking for hits and thinking that sounding like Trump will help that.
