It doesn't hit like a freight train if it can't maintain freight speed.

Would it hurt all the same if you got hit by a train going 60 mph or you doing 60 mph and running into the side of a train?

"Player friendly contract" Probably why they can't make it out of the first round.

The guy got his full NMC in the only year he really needed it.

That math is something i'm probably not capable of anymore.

It make sense to me the train hitting the person but at the same time, person would be launched forwarded vs coming to a dead stop hitting the train.

It's really not even close.

I mean at 60MPH neither outcome is good, but we're talking 20 MPH top speeds and he is personally well below that.

I guess you could argue that if they're both skating full speed into each other than maybe 35MPH, but the guy running into him has been lucky to make the nhl if he can't keep his head up.

It's very hypothetical that Lucic can get anywhere near 60 mph or is comparable to a train.

I guess what I was trying to say is that if the guy can't really forecheck than he isn't nearly as menacing.

No but neither is Matheson and he still managed to catch up and power slam Petey.

On that note, anybody heard if Petey has adopted Jake's hot dog diet for weight gain this coming season?

OK, maybe QH needs to know where he is when he goes into the corner.

However, 99/100 he's gonna expose him to be the pylon he is.

It's also early to declare Juolevi a bust.

Just a thought .

With the RFAs holding out and the teams holding out I wonder if the teams are going to plant their feet in the sand and be prepared for the players to hold out.

Th cost now is stupid what a player makes.

Sounds like Hogslander and Benning might be on standby if Brock doesn't sign. Sounds far fetched but who knows.

- VANTEL

Hog has sick mitts for sure but I highly doubt he’s making the team this year. I’d love to see it for sure though.

There’s no way Brock isn’t playing game 1 this year. He will sign.

Brock's going to sign.

Horvat's like entire wedding party is his former London Knights teammates and Sven.

IF all of our first round draft picks make good strides this year than we'll be in good shape.

It's that stupid Matthews contract. They gave him UFA status at 26 years old giving him nearly McDavid money. The poor bastard only has to learn to live on $70M until then.

Sure they can re-sign him bit there's not much incentive to sign beforehand, unless they're going to trade him before his last year. Head scratcher of a contract.

Since they signed that deal, all the RFA's want big money and shorter term. Maybe you can point to the Nylander deal but it was an extra year and not nearly as rich.

Maybe that's why I am not a pro athlete. I liked winning but putting effort to win was something I wasn't too interested in. I could mentor.

I asked Milan Lucic if he was asked to waive his NTC in last year to go to the #Canucks : “No never. There was never a trade to Vancouver as far as I’m concerned.”

Doesn’t sound like Eriksson - Lucic swap ever got serious.

Even as a kid playing hockey in the summer made it like a job. Sure, it was fun but you had to give up other fun events as well.
