That's not his market. Trouba was arbitration eligible with one year to go before UFA eligibility. If anything, this reduces the chance of an Ekblad-like deal for Provorov just off his ELC (unless McAvoy or Werenski gets one).

Yea they have options though. They can bury smith and buyout Staal. Most likely they will trade Nam and bury Smith. Going to be interesting to see what they do. Good thing its not my job to worry
