For a league SO OBSESSED with Tradition, Retro, Original Six, why they went with some of the hokeyest division/conference names. I agree that they should have gone back to those. |

The new Phil The Thrill Coyote t shirts are out btw. My roommate doesn’t like them.. guessing she doesn’t find him attractive 😂
I’m surprised Holland didn’t have to sweeten the deal to get Neal, good for him. I think ultimately the trade will look fine for both teams but Neal will likely rebound playing with RNH (which is the early speculation). Good for Holland. I just think buying out Sekera now that he’s finally healthy was a mistake |

Conditions on the Lucic trade: Oilers retain $750K and if James Neal scores 21+ goals this season AND scores 10 more than Lucic then they give a 3rd to the Flames lol

So the flames get a win/win. Either Lucic can bounce back a bit and be a useful hockey player, or he sucks and they get a 3rd round pick out of it plus the salary is already retained |

I mean in multiple ways.
Kunitz wasn’t a cheap shot artist.
Kunitz was a better goal scorer.
Kunitz was better at finding the soft pockets in the ice to shoot from.
Kunitz passing is better than Wilson’s
Until I see Wilson put up 60-65 points a season, the only similarity is that he’s “physical.” - j.boyd919
Dude I was at game 2(I believe) of the finals against Nashville, Pens were up 1-0 in the series but playing like dog sh it. Nashville was running around like crazy and Subban was doing his chicken sh it routine of hacking and wacking, mostly Sid. Kunitz wastes no time crosschecking that piece of human garbage right in the neck. Pens explode for 3 straight goals. I think Phil had two of them. Kunitz is/was a great player. |

Kunitz has always been a gamer. Simple honest play with good hockey IQ and a lot of hustle/average to good puck skills. Just like Cullen: a gamer! |

The "hustle" part is definitely missed. Last season was one of the weaker forechecking/backchecking teams of the Crosby/Malken era. Rutherford has taken some deserved heat, but he clearly feels the same way. Tried to add Zucker. Added Kahun and Tanev. Still hopeful he pulls a rabbit out of a hat and offloads JJ. |

I'd feel much better about the off-season had the Zucker trade gone through. |

Ir would be cool but I’m fine with what we have right now aside from the D. I’d probably change a couple faces. |
