Laine is such a polarizing player
elite in the one area you want to be be goal scoring
but his away from the puck is absolutely atrocious. - classic321
Kinda reminds me of Kessel to be honest. But even with Kessel's faults, he sure could fill the net.

I got a good “disagreement” we will call it about a Risto for Laine swap on The Sabres boards.
I think Laine is going to be a star is this league for years. Has probably top 3 shot in the entire league.
I want him in Buffalo badly. |

I keep hearing the Flyers are looking to make a trade to free up cap space so they can pursue bringing in another forward...The issue here is the Flyers depth is on D, but they really can't trade a D-man until they get Provorov signed...and there is absolutely no progress to speak of there. NONE. Many are speculating the Flyers would be OK with an offer sheet at this point. At least it would give them a timeline and make the choice more clear. I am not so sure, but I do think the Flyers would love to see Werenski or McAvoy sign first.
You know the Flyers will have 8 D men once Provorov is signed and something will happen.. u haven’t heard anything.
Offer sheet? Comon?
Who’s going to offer sheet a dman that regressed last year
The Flyers would only love to see those two sign if they were good team deals.
Thanks Captain Obvious - jduran10
Huh? You think GMs really sit there and say this young promising player had a bad year so he isnt worth an offersheet? Any team out there would love to get their hands on Provorov however they cant because any realistic offer is easily matched and if you over pay, that hurts most teams in the cap world and increases the cost you pay.

No one says they don’t want Provorov... most teams would...
Oh yeah so what would they offer sheet him so the Flyers won’t sign him?
Exactly
No one bothers
That’s all I said... so my point is no one is going to offer sheet Provorov, a regressing D man... what’s your rebuttal.. he’s worth an offer sheet that no one will put forth?
No one offer sheets an rfa unless they think they can front load or do something that a team won’t match... like for some reason Mtl did...
wanna give him 15 mil?

Bergy's being too careful. He needs to pull the plug and do something that proves whether or not he's a dunce or a genius. |

How come a one dimension player, who put less points is easily worth more than an all-around center, because yes he is a center. The good old potential excuse i guess? |

I guess one argument is that goals are typically valued more than anything else. So Laine's slump year he hits 30 and Domi's best year he hits 28. Laine is expected to put up around 40 per. I think this is the first year anyone actually got a decent look at what to expect from Domi and he needs to prove that he can do it again. |

Laine since coming into the league (last 3 years) is 6th in the NHL in goals scored.
More goals in the last 3 years than.
Kane
Crosby
Pasta
Taresenko.
He is an elite goal scoring winger.

“Prior to the start of the 2008–09 NHL season, Berard was invited to training camp with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was not offered a contract despite tallying 2 assists in Philadelphia's final game in Wachovia Spectrum. Berard signed on November 16, 2008, with Vityaz Chekhov of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He scored 17 points in 25 games played.”
So Berard left the Flyers before a preseason game but didn’t sign with a KHL team until November? Doesn’t make sense. |
