Then you aren't looking objectively.

The Capitals had a better goalie behind them in Holtby, for starters and they also had a top four stronger than the Leafs top four. They had a shutdown pair in Niskanen and Orlov, both play way better in their own zone than the likes of Ceci or Barrie.

The Leafs have D that can skate, pass and score points. But the majority of them can't actually play defense and shutdown the other team. Ceci is garbage and Barrie isn't very good in his own zone either.

You really are going to hate this team as long as Dubas is GM

Here's what the Caps had going for them: For once their core all played their best come playoff time. Kuznetzov went from playoff zero to leading the playoffs in scoring, Holby was actually poop previously in the playoffs, but played great. Same with Carlson, Ovi, ETC,.

If the Leafs play their best (And to do that the coach must play the best players a lot), then they can win a cup. They very well could have been in the finals this season.

- RogerRoeper

That's actually not true. Holtby was always great in the playoffs. The year they won the Cup, his numbers weren't as good as previous years but he stepped up huge when it mattered most, especially against Tampa Bay with two straight shutouts against the #1 offense to end the series.

dubas is a retard, i have no faith in him. to date he has done nothing for this team aside from acquire jake muzzin and 1 year of barrie in exchange for 3 years of kadri. leafs ownership was targeting tavares since before he was drafted, so i don't even give him credit for that signing.
- Bob_Zuruncle

Don't you think it's foolish to blame him for allowing Barrie to sign with another team on July 1st, 2020? How do you know?

And how the hell can you not credit Dubas for the biggest UFA signing in at least 12 years in the NHL? LOL.

Brian Burke trying a stupid Marlies stunt with Tavares means it was easy for Dubas to sign him?

"You Know Why Dubas Sucks"? Barrie signed with another team next July!

Leafs have the cap to keep him. Jesus...

Dubas added a top pair elite offensive D with a cap hit of 2.75 per and Kerfoot, who is younger and cheaper than Kadri. We got that for our third line centre who is 29 soon.

From the last thread AA, I will give you a hundred dollars if McDavid is traded to the Leafs within the next two seasons. It's not even a bet. I'll just give you the money. Aren't you excited? You could possibly get a hundred dollars of free money.
- Zezel

OK, count me in on the you giving away free money.

Fire Dubas and hire that guy that can't get an NHL job! Even Edmonton said no! Hand the keys to Hunter!

I read the first part but the last part has me scratching my head.

I like Marchment but I think he isn’t ready yet...he may never be.

I guy I’d love the Leafs to take a stab at is Nichushkin.

A big body with some potential and another guy to plug in while Hyman is out. If he doesn’t work he either bolts to the KHL or plays on the most lucrative AHL team.

so your whole plan of attack and the basis of your point is omitting Rielly and Muzzin. Cool.

You're also forgetting the taxes and backup goalie until 3:00 AM that UG, I mean JFJ is blabbing about.

He's ready and he's tough as nails, might be a liitle slow but who cares it's the third line.

Hunter and Lou drafted the big, strong Korshkov. Lame Dubas would’ve drafted the weak midget DeBrincat.

I think he’s just a call up when there are too many injuries.

I could be wrong I just don’t see enough out of him yet.

tavares wanted to come to toronto, it was so much a slam dunk that rosie o'donnell could have been leafs gm at the time and it would not have mattered.

I think Barrie gets Muzzin wether we like it or not.

And Dermott gets a shot on the RS with Rielly facing secondary comp.

Also Sandin wouldn’t be the 7th.

Other than that I agree.

Id probably like him more than Petan.

But Bracco, Agostino, Engvall, Korshkov are all possible as well.

Also Shore.
