Awesome.
Looking forward to tomorrow's chapter. - Reubenkincade
A close cousin just bought a place in Terrace that backs onto the river. Empty nesters that bought large.
We will be up there in the next few years. We can meet for bocce and Listerine Bombs. |

Sounds like a blast.
Will you be bringing any other members of the cheerleading squad? |

So far it appears we have 2 better scoring lines now that Bo has wingers.
3rd line a scoring line to a degree or more suited as a checking line?
The D will help drive the offence better so leaves me wondering on TG’s take on how he wants to play it. Will he let the D engage or play it closer to the vest & be conservative? |

Exactly, so everyone's opinion at this point is valid because predicting the future is subjective.
For every crusty whiner there is a pom pom waiving, glitter dust sprinkling, glee fairy. - bloatedmosquito
Actually, I'd say everyone's opinion is equally invalid. But the thesis that spending to the cap will somehow negatively affect on-ice performance seems like a flawed idea. They are trying to improve the team. Whether or not they achieve that has yet to be determined, so calling them a sub .500 team is premature. |

Thx much I'll look for those.
Ended up with a Malbec that wasn't stellar but super-average as I like to call it lol. - LordHumungous
Look for Paul Hobbs Viña Cobos from Argentina, very good Malbec. Laura Catena also has a Lebel called Luca that is generally good, and her dad’s winery Catena has some very good wines. Obviously, lots of other great wineries there. |

I don’t really want to comment on the potential of the 19/20 team, but other than last season, they spent to the upper limit of the cap and finished dreadfully. Spending to the cap seems not to guarantee success either. |

Different teams different time a lousy comp.
You make it sound all about money without considering the players assembled. |

Definitely not. Any idiot can spend money on nothing (my online shopping is a magnificent testament to that!). And while there certainly is long term virtue in keeping cap space open to take advantage of other teams cap crunches, signing players that address immediate weaknesses is the most proactive thing a GM of a bad team can do for better on ice results.
I personally think that if management believes Petterson, Boeser, Horvat and Hughes are special talents, they need to provide a solid surrounding cast to do all they can to make sure the team is not a sub .500 team. So spending the money makes sense. Will everyone we sign end up a big disappointment like Eriksson? Could happen. But if they don't spend the money, it looks like management isn't really trying to improve. So they are (frank)ed either way with the critics. |

Forgot to mention, hope your cousin is aware of the flooding problems from the Skeena.
Many of the homes have been flooded out, in certain areas.

Miller, Benn, Myers, Ferland are a pretty good start. Fairly solid numbers with other clubs just need to hope they can achieve that here or more. Whether they are role players or points guys surrounding our core with support is key...and we are on our way. |

The team is definitely much better,at least on paper.
That 1st rounder stings though. |

True on all counts. Unlike in the few years past we are filling needs and not blindly going after guys like LE. To me, this is a good thing. There is a difference between chucking cash at UFA's and filling needs/gaps in the line up. Despite the detractors, Benning had a great offseason even if we did lose the 1st rounder. |

We are better on paper as you claimed but alot of things will need to go right for this team to contend for the WC spot. ARZ and EDM will be moving up this year as well as VAN so I'm thinking there will be a log jam in the west. The game vs divisional rivals will be more important than ever. Injuries will still be a huge part on whether we contend for the WC IMO. If we get bit by the injury bug in Jan-Feb (as we normally do) I can see playoffs slipping away. Alot has to go our way. |

We are not only better on paper but we are actually better on the ice.
There is no way possible that this team is worse than when Hutton Pouliot and Granlund were on it. Leivo is definitely an upgrade on Gaunce. Roussel is a much better player than Archibald.
We are not the first team ever to trade a first and we wont be the last.
This is a better team. |
