I believe it's just the same definition as the typical emergency recall from the AHL: less than 12F/6D/2G. I don't think anyone's really gone straight to the CHL as their first option, but without checking, I believe they technically could.

He may not even play center in the NHL. See Reinhart.

The anti Cozens. High IQ, average speed. As long as you can play fast, effectively, you're likely to be a solid NHLer. And Cozens up this point has done just that.

If he wins the job and he looks really good, then that's good for all involved. If he looks ok, but better than Sheary or Vesey at RW, and we choose him out of necessity, that's bad. Bad for his development, bad for the team, and bad for the standings. I think he's gonna look like Reinhart did. He's gonna get run over a bunch

Emergency recalls aren't a thing prior to the deadline. You get all the callups you want. But they need to come from the minors, not the CHL. With junior players, I believe you can only call on them once, prior to the DL.

I think Lunaion covered it above, but at that time, Rochester was tapped out and calling up players from Cincinnati, so we had no one to call up from Rochester. I have no idea what the exact rules are but i think they prevent a team from just calling up a kid to try him out. Your AHL team has to be depleted to a certain extent.

Sam really needs to show everyone (doubters) included , that he's a 7 or 8 year 7 or 8 million $ guy.

The Sabres probably have to trade Risto, a 1st and VO. As that may sound appealing, the value for a 60-65 point forward is off who can't drive lines. I personally believe Reinhart has more value than Conner.

That all said, I like the player, the Sabres could use his services, but I personally wouldn't overpay.

Not sure where this comes from. For the past 1 and a half seasons, he's been playing at a high pace. Started last season at a 64 point pace through two months.

Well he is a young player with RFA status, presumably looking for a decent sized contract with term. WPG still needs to lock up Laine and has Roslovic knocking on the door. If the GM prioritizes Laine and thinks more highly of Roslovic, maybe they see a path to trading Connor to get a package including Risto ++ that helps them both with cap and to get some actual NHL players for cheap (someone like Girgensons maybe even to fill out bottom 6?). I'm mostly spitballing here.

You said "who can't drive lines" - are you referring to Connor? Why do you say that about him?
