And then they tried to stuff him in Roch on a "conditioning stint" and the league said no. If Cozens looks like poop, he won't be here. I'm confident of that. But if they keep him for a month or two and use him as a RW and they don't shoehorn him into 2C, it won't destroy his development path as you're saying

It's the exact opposite of logical reasoning. Most prospects simply don't have the potential we think they have. Zemgus is certainly one of them.

Agreed. The only real mistake they could make with Cozens is to keep him past 9 games, then realize that was a mistake. It makes year 2 a real mess. Even if that happens, it doesn't ruin the player.

We all remember Grigorenko, but Draisatl went through a similar scenario. This isn't nearly as simple as good player = good development and bad player = bad development.
