Gets 9 games

This he will

Seems like a waste of a roster spot tbh. He's #notready and it's a foregone conclusion that he won't stay

He spent 2 year in jrs that’s his first time being against people with talent he came from a Area where there is zero people that have made it to the next level or any level he has accomplished

Needs at least one more year and focus on his body to get stronger and be ready for the next level and he hast to improve his hockey IQ Just make smarter place and don’t get over frustrated with the puck

Exactly and you want to put them back out there when he just recovered from an injury there’s gonna be some Richard on another team that’s going to target that injury

Accidental flag.

I'm sure we could find a list of successful NHLers who produced less in the WHL but I doubt its worth the time.

“Cozens has all of the skills you want to see in a top line center. He skates very well, he can make plays from the half wall, has a great release and drives the net very well. He can play as a net front presence and does not shy away from the home plate area in the offensive zone. He excels in the rush game and as a dual threat as a shooter and passer which makes him lethal.” – Vince Gibbons, McKeen’s Hockey

“A big, strong and powerful 6-foot-3, 181-pound centre who plays for the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Cozens is a unique story, born in Whitehorse in Yukon Territory. Cozens has 25 goals and 58 points in 45 games this season. He’s the opposite of [Kirby] Dach in many respects. Cozens is a shoot-first centre with a tremendous shot. He is a fast and powerful skater who plays a bullish power game.” – Bob McKenzie, TSN

Strengths
Excellent at using his size and speed on the offensive side of the puck.
Great shot, accurate with a quick release.
Strong hockey sense, knows where to be at all times (especially in offensive zone)

Under Construction (Improvements to Make)
Needs to round out his game with a bit more attention to detail on the defensive side of the game.
Needs to be more effective at winning face-offs.

In all honesty, he plays like Evander Kane if Kane wasn’t such a dumb hockey player

Their skating and shots are similar but Cozens won’t (frank) up 10 offensive zone possessions a game

If one of the 6 most talented sabres makes the team we will suck again?

I think we are better with him in the top 6 then most other choices

Cozens has .2 PPG less than Sam Reinhart did in the WHL. Cozens as played about 138 games there while Reinhart played 250. Cozens size and speed are going to get him to the NHL faster than Reinhart did, as size and speed were two of Sam's biggest knocks. Maybe it won't translate to Cozens being here full-time this year but using his WHL point total, his hometown (wtf?), or a thumb injury "being targeted" as the reasons he won't make it this year is a pretty weak argument.

This, and past behavior, is literally the difference between releasing and re-signing Kane.

Not that I know, but is he really taking that volume of shots? And is he really that physical?
