Ho Sang isn't someone I'd be keen on investing in. Not only is he a unique personality (not something that flies in Edmonton), he's also shown a notable unwillingness to attack the front of the net.

Like Bouchard a LOT. Wanted him or Hughes in the last draft before Zadina fell to us. Broberg is a big question mark for me. See him as a Liljegren or Chychrun. Maybe good, maybe bust. Sammy looks really good as well.

Seider looks like a stud the more I watch of him. Between him and Hronek, we have a nice set of higher end d prospects. Cholowski, Kaski, and Lindstrom could surprise as well.

It's unwise to spend assets on a gamble unless you think the odds of it paying off are in your favour. We don't think he'll become anything based on observations we've made so the gamble isn't worth the likely price (a 3rd?).

Some Isles fans don’t even want him in the Bridgeport locker room where he has been a healthy scratch at times.

There’s having an emphatic personality like Subban which I don’t prefer as it can be a distraction but it’s worth it for PK. I like having it in the league, just wouldn’t prefer it in the locker room of a team I cheer for.

Then there are personalities that have problems with authority like Ho Sang. Those are the personality traits I would want in my biggest rivals locker room. Undermining team rules, coaching decisions and ultimately eroding team cohesion. Hard pass.

It'll be tough. Luckily having Jake Bean, Haydn Fleury and Jesper Sellgren all coming up will help plug holes quickly. Faulk will be the next to go. Curious what will happen with Dougie when he's a pending UFA though. I think they'll give him the raise required to keep him.
