I agree. I the echo chamber of both ends of the spectrum ( “Benning Bros” and “fireBenning” crowd) are so loud that it creates the “us vs them” dynamic. Those groups are the minority. The rest of us are cool as (frank)! |

However, as Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post notes, they are looking at the trade market as well and have made wingers Vladislav Namestnikov and Pavel Buchnevich available.
Too bad Van doesn't have cap space. I would have liked to see Buchnevich in a Canucks uniform.
Nighthawk method. Throw someone else on LTIR. |

Think his arb reward for 21 goals 38 points would be that high? Rangers would want draft picks or prospects. Then we would have to try to move Sutter, Sven or Goldy to make room. |

Not like he was swimming. Just cuz you get a tattoo does not mean you can't hang with your friends on a boat |

If you look really hard, you will see he has what appears to be a pimple on his shoulder, hence the great towel cover up. |

my hot take for those who never asked for it
when benning got hired i just forecast to where we are now. nothing's really surprised me too much. EP and QH were massive, but i knew it would be slow (he had jack poop to work with) and the majority of the fanbase wouldn't be able to handle it.
imo, most can't see the forest for the trees and the whole "they dont have a plan" shtick is nonsense. JB's always been about a core group of young skill guys supported by the right vets (now who those "right" vets are and how much they get paid is usually the contentious aspect, but alas).
he thinks bottoming out is bad. i tend to agree (see edmonton).
anyway, i think the management group deserve a lot of credit for even being able to get this far. the mistakes have been relatively minor in the grand scheme of things and we've got some legit studs on the team who'll be around for the best part of 10 years
plenty of time left to go full marwood |

if it really came down to it im at the point where i would do all 3 things to get rid of louie
1) retain salary
2) take back bad contract/s (similar length only)
3) move jake or similar (would probably like something for this however) |

This is a complete load of bullpoop, you’re praising a GM whose mandate by the owner was to be competitive and yet he failed miserably, finishing at or near the bottom of the league four of five years. The plus side is he got good draft positions and he’s hit on three of his five first round picks. |
