lol winning a cup from the press box.
Good luck bud.
- LordHumungous
Between taxes and cost of living, Schenn's likely to come out between $50-$100K better off with Tampa.
If they call him up from Syracuse due to injuries, the climate in Tampa is pretty nice in the winter.
Being part of a winning environment is way more fun than playing for a loser.
Tampa has a greater likelihood of a long playoff drive than Vancouver. Probably as good or better a chance at winning the cup than anywhere.
What reason would he have to pick Vancouver over Tampa Bay? Loyalty and appreciation for the 10 game opportunity he got here?
The explanation he gave was really the best statement he could offer publicly.

lol he may have played a few in reg season but not one in the PO's I think you are correct. I think you need a certain number or reg season games to qualify for the cup ring too no? - LordHumungous
I think you can get a ring from the team but to get your name on the cup you need 41 regular season games or 1 game in the final from what I saw online. |

The Jets might need a trade, and they lost 3 NHL D, how about:
To the jets: tanev + JV + second
To Canucks: Kyle Connor
FERLUND, EP, BB
JTM, BH, Connor
Beirchi, gaudette, Pearson
Motte, beagle, rousell |

Ummmmm. Tanevs value is likely a 3rd round pick. So a 2nd, 3rd and Virtamen for a first line 30 goal scoring winger? Nope |

I think if the Canucks make the playoffs we lose 4-1. Isn’t that better than 4-0? Schenn is a POS who doesn’t care about winning. This was a tax savings move. He should play hockey in the Caymens - CanuckDon

Thank you. I went to a canuck vs jets game and Conner was a menace. He did everything; score, hit, pass, backcheck. Everything. He's a great hockey player. |

Ya he is pretty awesome and fun to watch. They would probably move Laine before Connor |

A lot of high profile RFA’s still unsigned, can’t remember so many all at once in limbo. Hopefully Boeser signs before camp, missing camp would be a death blow to his season. - Pacificgem
What are your thoughts on Stewart getting a PTO in Philly, pretty excited I guess. |

The narrative is more likely that JB is an idiot for not extending a PTO to a free asset like Stewart, so that he can sign him and trade him for a 1st one week into the season......what a maroon JB is.... |

I am finding it more annoying that these kids come into the league and thinking they deserve to be paid immediately. Most haven't won a thing and think they are the poop.
Just look at Nylander last season. 6.9 for the future isn't that bad of a contract but really he scored 27 points in 54 games.
Take a reasonable shorter term deal and get paid when you have proven that you are actually worth it not just one or two seasons. - manvanfan
I would WAY rather pay a player for what he’s about to do (Boeser) than for what he already did (Burrows) |
