So, 50% of the CAP has been precommitted to four skaters. Next year every Leaf DMan, except for Reilly, is either a UFA or RFA. Next year is when this year's CAP problem becomes a crisis.

But, a crisis can also be an opportunity and perhaps Dubas is just doing his best to muddle through this coming year and next summer he will make some moves to add an elite Dman on a long term basis.

But I think he is okay this year.

Bergy is the Houdini of GMs because he was able to escape from multiple bad players/contracts/picks from the previous administration even his own wrongdoings in Subban's awful contract. He stole Domi for Floatchenyuk and then turned Patches into Tuna, the great Nick Suzuki, stud Dman Norlinder and defensive stalwart Leguerrier. What a haul! Bergy is also a magician too however
