I think the Canucks should slow play this and look for a partner at the TDL - Loui would represent a good add for teams looking to firm up their PK. If he can regain a bit of his scoring touch even better.

I think they've been at the bottom enough, it's time to start competing. Although next years draft is supposed to be wicked, so there's always that if things don't work out this year.

you know, it's sheep like you who will pull anything outta their ass to make chicken soup out of chicken poop. When you're trying to be competitive but you finish 2nd and 3rd last in the league you've actually failed at your job. If he was rebuilding, which he wasn't, he'd get a pass, but again, he wasn't.

Moving up is a product of failing, that's how the system is set up, when you fail you get access to the best kids on the planet, it's up to you to choose the best ones for your team. Most teams who finish near the bottom of the league pick great prospects/players.

After many years of trying, this summer Benning did a great job surrounding the kids they've picked with good players, so good on him!! Job well done.

Well they are short term when compared to life time contracts...I mean, come on, it could have been worse! Benning is playing 4 dimensional chess man....I know it looks like he's playing tic-tac-toe and still can't grasp the rules but that's just you getting confused by the facts.
