Pending moving Markstrom in a package deal to Jackets to acquire Werenski and dumping other salaries like Sutter, Baertschi, Leivo, Beagle, Schaller, Motte, Biega, Canucks could move Ericksson to rebuilding Wings for G Jimmy Howard in last year of his deal and possibly Helm as a speedy vet C to shut down division rivals McDavid and Gaudreau. In addition to Ericksson the Wings get a choice of Gaudette, Utunen/Woo or Madden, Dipietro. Canucks great scouting has created more options for them and this can really speed up Yzerman's rebuild.

I hate Benning, with a passion. Even though there’s some great young players, and I’m finally excited about watching them again, I can’t help but retain my hatred for all the stupid things he’s done prior to this off-season.

Rather than trade Loui, I think JB's best strategy would be to strong arm him down in Utica and not be nice about it

Send him to Utica and healthy scratch him every night until he goes back to Sweden or his Agent arranges a trade that doesn't F the Canucks over
