Kind of insulting...
I wouldn't trade Seabrook straight up for Eriksson.... DeBrincat is untouchable, Kid just put up 41 goals last season and has easy 50 goal potential at some point over the next couple of seasons, wouldn't be shocked if he hit 50 as soon as next season.
DeBrincat is part of the future...
Seabrook's contract is indeed a ball & chain, but so is Loui Eriksson....
Seriously, you want to dump Eriksson you're going to have to add a sweetener of some sort and perhaps even retain salary - that or swap on terrible contract for another....
Besides, Seabrooks contract is becoming a bit more attractable over time considering his salary was front loaded so his actual salary goes down every season, so in a season or 2 he will be an attractive player for a team looking to hit the cap floor while while paying minimal salary on a higher cap hit.... - Savard2Secord
Your last paragraph is (frank)ing laughable. Sounds eerily similar to what the idiots on here say about Loui. Bath salts for you 🧂🛀 |

The Canucks can wait. True. But at what cost to the team development? - NuckUp
Best thing for everyone would be for Eriksson to be traded - should have never been signed and is better off not on this team - no debate there. If they can trade him great.
I guess my point is they shouldn’t trade him out of desperation as there is a good chance he will have more “value” at the TDL or next summer - if they play him in a similar role next season.
Bach was on Sportsnet650 suggesting they include Jake just to get rid of him. That would be a huge mistake IMHO.

Per Satiar Shah: I’m still keeping an eye on the Stars as a potential destination for Loui Eriksson.
Could see something involving Cogliano who has 2 years at $3.25M per left and/or Comeau who also has 2 years remaining at $2.4M per - Codes1087
Apparently family is already there. |

Add a hat and glasses and he could easily be a Blues Brother. They had a couple slow jams. |

Given age/contract/expansion draft /production/defensive abilities
In any Eriksson for Seabrook deal the hawks are adding ...and I don’t think a first is enough
That’s one ugly contract ....

Sven is worth keeping to see if he can stay healthy and put together a season. His value is to low right now to trade. Sutter...his value is low but I don’t think it’s ever coming back up. - canucksfan1944
The good thing here is the Canucks no longer need to rely on their performance. They have players to replace them. It would be nice to get some value from them but addition by subtraction works too. |

Knowing this team having a 3 million dollar player in the press box injured will happen one after another. No trade would even be needed. |

I still like Wennberg as the target for either an Eriksson or Sutter trade.
Cbus needs NHL players and Wennberg isn't going to bounce back under Torts.

No need to include assets just to dump his contract at this point. Yeah I would just waive him in that case. Maybe you are right, a low cap team, sees value in his PK ability. |

Or if he reports next season maybe just play him if no trade is made.
Play him solely on pk till his attitude changes and actually puts in effort. Its possible he gets his play in order....not bloody likely but possible. |
