It seems a little hypocritical to now be so vehemently going after anyone that is female doging about Mitch.

All that said, I do agree with him that the Marner hate these days is idiotic. He's an amazing player and I totally hope and expect him to get signed by Dubas and stay a Leaf. His agent is just being a douche and using every means he can to try and get Dubas to pony up more money, which to be fair, is actually his job (even if he seems like a total douche canoe).

But that’s a different case. Nylander was lethargic this season and he deserved criticism. Mitch deserves nothing but praise, based on his performance. Also, why I’m adamant about this is because I know what everyone else knows, which is nothing. Everyone is assuming Mitches dad is involved and Ferris is being an a-hole.. but it’s all circumstantial, and basically amounts to slander. If I were Mitch I’d be hurt by the rhetoric coming from so many fans, his video of him wake-skating yesterday is probably just him being like “hey, guys look! I’m still cool! Just gotta get what I deserve.”

There seems to be plenty of testimony that Marner's dad is a douche. There also seems to be lots of evidence of his past history with other players' contract talks and his own words to the press regarding Marner to suggest his agent is also a grade A douche.

There's also lots of evidence Marner loves the Leafs and will want to stay here. So my guess is his agent and Dubas are clashing over term and dollars and his agent is probably feeding crap to the media to pressure Dubas and this will go on for a while before finally resolving itself after we Leafs fans have all had heart attacks or killed our livers. Then he'll be a Leaf again and we'll all pretend we never doubted it for a moment and noone will remember trash talking him or suggesting a trade.

I hear what’s said in the media. Idk.. I think people are overreacting big time about Paul and Ferris. It’s money, emotions are involved. Fans in Toronto, imo, are starting to prove to be very fragile. The new generation is dying to be cocky, and the Raps gave it to them. No need to worry. Willie should play 3C and have a 70+ points season. After all he was the best faceoff guy (72%) at the World Championship 6 weeks ago!

Nylander didn't lead the team in scoring the past two years.

He also doesn't play defense or with any kind of passion or consistency.

He did, however, hold out, missed almost 30 games and followed that up by making his contract look bad with a measly 7 goals.

Marner may be looking for 1-2 million more per year but with his 90-100 points, he'll be a lot closer to earning it than Nylander did with his season last year.
