Make sure you’ve got a bag of flour so you can find the wet spot. Or just flip the rolls until you smell poop and go one roll back.

Sullivan did a radio interview yesterday, and something caught my attention reading between the lines....

he really gushed about Tanev..said he could even be a top 6 player...great two way game...fits the mold of who the Penguins want to be...

but when asked about Galchenyuk....though he was still generally complimentary...his tone was different.

maybe im reading too much into it but it just felt like Galchenyuk wasn't necessarily the guy Sullivan or mgmt wanted.....he was just the best guy they could get.

I have no doubt that you're probably right. I said the other day that Sullivan is going to HATE Glachenyuk. Sullivan does not like players who are poor defensively and he absolutely loves players who are physical and have a good two-way game.

Well he obviously wasn’t a fan of Kessel and Galchenyuk is just a worse version of him. How many games until Galchenyuk is health bombed?

So you're telling us Galchenyuk has less effort than Kessel? I'm pretty sure that's the main problem here with Sullivan. To me it doesn't matter if Galchenyuk wiil get 20 or 25 less points than Kessel as long as we are a better team with him.

Watch Tanev become the new Pascal Dupuis.

I can't see this working with Galchenyuk. They should just flip him now before his value tanks when he isn't on the top PP.

Indeed. One less mistake for JR to make.

Laziness and defense are literally the biggest knock on Galchenyuk...

Not sure how less production makes you better either.

Trading Bjugstad for a pick and then flipping that into Gusev should be the easiest move GMJR makes all summer.

I wouldnt mind dumping Rust. I would love to dump Hornqvist and/or Johnson, but I'm trying to be realistic.

Trading Bjugstad should absolutely not happen.

I could see it with Tanev. They obviously saw something special in him that no one else did that has them believing he has top 6 upside.

Initially I thought there was another trade to move Gally that would follow quickly but maybe not.

If the knock on him is laziness and he has an abundance of talent, I'm sure being in a contract year will have him highly motivated!

Agreed. This team struggled enough to have a higher level 3C after Bones. This will just wind up being another hole they need to fill later on.

At this point I’m guessing a JJ/Rust package which could open the funds and roster space.

I was expecting more ufa signings by now. Probably has slowed the market down. Ferland is signing with Vancouver apparently.

Cullen can take 1/2 season off and GMJR can talk him out of retirement at the TDL...
