I did the same thing to a few of my buddy's and my brother.

I was never that impressed with Hischier or Patrick, to be honest. But there are a lot of players in that draft I still like. Maybe not stars, but Thomas, Suzuki, probably Brannstrom, I still think Mittelstadt might turn out above average. And of course Makar. I'm hoping for Liljegren, obviously. . .

I was going to make a joke about the Russian that Tampa drafted will turn out to be stud, but then I looked, and they did draft two, and they do not look good.

For sure there's gonna be a few other developing into very good players. And I forgot Makar - expect him to be a top pairing D in 3-4 years!

Makar is my Calder prediction this upcoming season.

He will be on their #1 PP unit with Barrie being traded to the Leafs which will help his production.

I'll be trying to draft him on my fantasy team during the later rounds. Hoping no one snags him before me!

I'm not going to claim to be an expert on him, but from what I'd seen, he reminded me of RNH a bit. That same type of frame . . . A good player, to be sure, but in most drafts, probably not worthy of that #1/2 mantle. So obviously, both are good, but in my opinion, comparatively not as good as the hype of their draft stature would make you think.
