Those people are insane.

I like Erod because he's fast and it's funny to like someone who isn't that good, but still useful.

Not directed at you personally, so please don't take it that way.

I'm just sick of hearing about veteran leadership over the past 4 years as the team continues to be a bottom finisher.
ROR, Gionta, Pommer, Scandella, Okposo, Burgland, and the list of several more...been about as useless as tits on a bull.
F them all, they came here to wind down their career in a cushy, no pop pressure environment while the team played well enough to finish dead last multiple times.
What leadership did they provide really?
Bunch of crap IMO

- IonSabres

Yes, I hear you. I meant that as a jab at GM speak when talking up subpar veteran players.

I don't understand why any of this is happening.

One plays all 3 positions under $1m, plus PK

One plays RW and PP for $6m

If you want to say Pominville is more useful than Okposo, I get that, but saying Okposo is more valuable than a 3rd/4th liner making a 10th of his salary implicates Okposo more than it vindicates him

It's a weird hill to die on

It’s insane to me how much people
Like him.

Here’s why I think why they do.

1) he wasn’t drafted
2) he appears to “work hard” blue collar bull poop.
3) He makes little money
4) blue collar bull poop

People/fans in Buffalo love superstars, u til they have to pay superstar money, and then that star is labeled greedy.

See Eichel, Jack

Next up Skinner, Jeff when he goes on a scoreless streak.

I can't blame him after all of the wild Zhitnik point shots that hit him in the mush

Gotta pay a young superstar whatever it costs. The cap hit for a franchise player like Eichel is basically irrelevant. You have to have it, or you have nothing

Meh.
I think superstars have it pretty easy in Buffalo.
Go 20 games without scoring and the fans still have your back and want you to sign the big contract to stay.
Is it so wrong to demand more of a guy earning $9m versus the undrafted guy who makes $650k

To he who much is given, much is expected.

KO had 7 of his 14 goals on the PP this past year. If Johansson takes his spot, which seems likely as Mojo's zone entry ability is among his greatest strengths, KO could very well have 7-10 goals this year
- jcragcrumple

He could also score more even strength with better line mates
Played mostly in the bottom6 last year
And as we all know,
our bottom6 had very little offensive talent

Regardless,
we are gonna be stuck with Okposo
So hopefully he can be a decent RW3 for us

Imagine if he played on the PP1 and on Jack’s line all season long like i wanted

Then he’d have had over 20goals I’d think
And maybe (just maybe) we could gotten a team to take him off our hands

And he seemingly got them pretty often
