Long Island Railroad access from the east is HUGE. The biggest long-term problem with NVMC was the utter lack of mass transit.

Yep, it wasn't going to be worth much without it. It would take people hours to get home if they had to go to Jamaica first then transfer trains to go east. The trains are slow that time of night already since they make all the local stops.

Minus Flippula also. Maybe we see some maturing and improvement with Beau(honestly don’t see it but I hope), pulock, toews, etc. but as we sit now we don’t have a third line center. I’m assuming the plan is fritz which I’m a bit uneasy about and our offense is still the same as last year which as we all know is not good. In other words I hope we add some help before the start of the season...

So Matt Martin also left the Islanders for Toronto as a free agent, and what happened? He was cheered when he returned to the Island. Why? Because he left for a much better contract than the Islanders offered him, so Islander fans understood completely.

But when Pajama Boy left, he took less money than the Islanders offered him which is a not-too-subtle phukk you to the Islander fanbase, in effect saying "you and your support over the years means nothing to me. I'd rather take less money just to leave town."
