NAK rules

Like Nak, how are his wheels?

I think they need some serious speed in the lineup

I would like to see NAK get a real shot but I just don't see it. He played 9 NHL games last year. I believe all 9 were under Hex/Hak reign. After Fletcher took over he got in no games. He couldn't break the lineup over Bailey and Knight. Maybe he'll get the 13/14th forward spot.

I think he played fine on the call up but he didn’t show anything special. That said, he only played like 5 minutes a night

I wi say that Fletcher did bring in some competition for that 4th line spot:

As per Bill:

Fletcher noted that, among Monday's signings, Andreoff was one who had a chance to push for an NHL roster spot out of training camp; likely as either the 12th or 13th forward who supplies a physical and agitating presence. If the 6-foot-1, 198-pound winger is waived, clears and is assigned to the Phantoms, he is capable of playing significantly higher in the AHL lineup.

Also consider Gabriel!to a lesser extent.

* Right winger Kurtis Gabriel, 26, signed a one-year, two-way contract with a $700,000 value at the NHL level.

Not Bill but I remember Bill saying it is due to the fact he is coming in from playing a year in college and not yet 20. Basically playing pro without being a pro yet. Similar to those boys coming over from over seas like Hägg did. Correct me if I’m wrong someone.

I'm still hoping the 4th line is Raffl/Laughton/Pitlick and one of the kids step up and take a 3rd line spot.

NAK is a stiff. Can’t wait to see how many whine when he is eventually put on waivers then say another team will claim him.

I like that 4th line. Has a little speed. Some goal scoring potential.

Have to see what might happen in a trade also.

I hope like hell that one of the kids earns it though.

Okay Pees, I saw the Cates answer. I saw some video clips of him during development camp. It was really cool the brothers got to enjoy together.

Here’s another...

Who is the Phantoms prospect also under the radar usually mentioned with injuries?

He is probably top 20 based solely on skill but rarely is mentioned in the prospect rankings.

I personally am looking to see if he finally has a healthy breakout year this season.

Who is he?

Yep. Pascal Laberge.

It will be interesting to see if he remains a center. Phantoms are really stacked.

Laberge taken in the 2nd round 36 overall.

Mushead is correct. That unwarranted hit after he was drafted.

Loads of talent and a center. He had some ups this past season. Can flash some skill

He does have some skill. Phantoms are super stacked is right with young talent.

Then Fletcher brought in some experience.

I remember when we drafted him a lot analysts and draft guys liked the pick. Aside from his skill, they praised his high character and everything he went through his draft year. Believe his mom or dad dealt with health issues, can’t remember 100%. Then he took that dirty hit and just didn’t look the same. Hopefully he can find his game this season !

here have fun with this one, hoping this can bring team negative and team postiive together for a day

Hayes can help. He has done a lot of his damage at even strength with 72 such goals, more than guys like Adam Henrique (71 — $5.825 million AAV), Evgeny Kuznetsov (70 — $7.8 million AAV) and Ryan O'Reilly (67 — $7.5 million AAV) since 2014-15. Hayes' 179 even-strength points are more than guys like Nazem Kadri (173), Tomas Hertl (172), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (172) and Anders Lee (170) over the past five seasons.

and this

The Flyers will need Hayes to do a lot. After all, they did a lot to get him because of that.

Something something Flyers suck.
Something something Fletcher sucks.
Something something Hexy wasn't given a chance.
Something something I cry into a bag of Cheetos every night.
